Trouble brewing for T.O.?

I'm on the record saying that this would be a trouble-free season for T.O. My logic was that Wade Phillips, Jason Garrett and Tony Romo would make sure that T.O. was involved on the field and happy off it.

Well, T.O. has a grand total of five catches for 55 yards in the last two games. That's his least productive back-to-back performances since the final two games of San Francisco's 2001 season.

T.O. was pretty vocal on the sideline tonight. He said he was simply trying to make sure Romo didn't get down on himself.

"I tried to stay with him and told him that we had his back and to just keep with it," T.O. said. "That's what we're all about."

When asked about the two-point conversion, T.O. said the ball was underthrown. That's bull. Romo threw a good ball, but scrub CB Jabari Greer just ripped it out of T.O.'s hands. T.O. also should have made the catch on the out route after the onside kick. The pass was low and a little behind him, but Hall of Famers make those kind of plays.

T.O. was all smiles after the game. He's given no recent reasons to think he's about to be disruptive to the Cowboys. But I've just got a bad feeling that he'll blow up Sunday if he's shown up by Randy Moss.

I wonder what TO said exactly. The media has a tendency of putting words in his mouth or making what he says seem more venomous than it is. A lot of time he's joking around or is smiling while he says it.

Actually, it was. If it was thrown higher, he probably would have caught it because it would have been more difficult to strip it out of his hands. That being said, TO should have caught it, but the defensive back made a great play even though he should have been called for face guarding/pass interference because it was blatant.

I agree, the ball was underthrown, but T.O. made a good play by going over the defender for the catch, but the defender made and even better play by stripping the ball.

TO should be upset at himself after the MNF game. the only person who underperformed worse than him was romo.

too many drops of balls that TO should have had didn't help the offense get going when the 'boys needed it most.

...fortunately, witten and crayton came through. (and folk!!!!!)

Agreed. He's been a team player this year and he brings so much to the table even when he's not getting the ball, but man, he has GOT to control the drops. If the game is on the line, I'm not sure I want the ball going to him.

TO's drops are simply a result of him looking upfield before securing the ball. He did it on the WR screen tonight. I wish he would work on it, because if you go and look at everyone of his drops I'd bet more than 50% of him taking his eye off the ball.

TO should be upset. For the life of me, I dont understand why we dont keep him in motion at least on 60% of the offensive plays. It's so obvious he's much more effective when used this way. The last 2 games, particularly last night, he lined up on one side with very little pre-snap movement. Look...Jason Garrett obviously knows a heckuva lot more about football than me, but it's so apparent that TO seems to be more easily taken out of games and frustrated when he's used(or misused) the way he was last night.
