New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham makes the catch of the year against the Cowboys.
Sports Illustrated‘s Doug Farrar recently came out with his 2015 All-Overrated Team, breaking down the NFL’s most overrated, overvalued, or simply overpaid players.
The team is led at quarterback by TCU-product Andy Dalton, and one of the players on the defensive side of the ball is Dallas Cowboys cornerback Brandon Carr.
Here is what Farrar had to say about Carr:
“These are two more cases of being more overpaid than overrated. It’s fair to say that most of the league has grasped the fact that Carr has become a liability in coverage. Dallas signed him to a five-year, $50.1 million deal in 2012, which seemed like smart money at the time, but in the third year of that deal, Carr bottomed out with his worst season yet . He allowed a 116.6 opponent passer rating and yielded six touchdown passes with no interceptions. That’s a lot of holes in the coverage of a guy who had a cap hit of over $12 million in 2014, and has the same in 2015.”
New Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Byron Maxwell is the other player Farrar refers to alongside Carr.
Washington Commanders safety Dashon Goldson also made the All-Overrated lineup, but all of the New York Giants players were spared.
