Yeah but I like him. He's got his shot to prove people wrong.

I'm a pretty big believer that this QB can make a lot of WRs look better than they really are.

He's been doing it his entire career. When Laurent Robinson shows up for 1 year, catches 11 TDs and immediately resumes his less than pedestrian career upon departure, it's a pretty good indicator that Romo can make a star out of anyone.

Crayton and Austin can be added to that list also. Hell, I think he even made Ogletree look competent for a game with 3 TDs.

Too bad for Street there is only one ball and it probably isn't going to him much at all.

...and that is a area Street could focus on. If I remember, Laurent R made his mark on a lot of plays that broke down, and as Romo extended them Robinson was very good and adept and coming back to Romo, or finding the opening in coverage. I think the majority of his yards came on those type of plays. Can Street be creative enough and on the same page as Romo to help in that area.

Thus far, that's exactly how Williams has made his mark, also. I have faith that Williams' game will become more rounded but a majority of his impact has come in the Robinson variety.

I wish the kid the best and I am hopeful he pans out, but I would like to start with catch #3 and then go up from there

I'm about as optimistic as the next guy but I'm not necessarily anticipating "domination" from Street. What might please me greatly would be if he became an effective contributing factor for our offense. I think that would very well amount to an impressive step forward for him this season. Nevertheless, from the sound of things, he evidently has lofty goals and that's never a bad thing.

I hope Street can become a dominating force saying it and doing the things he need to do to achieve it is a different story. Are you willing to put in the extra time? to run crisp precise routs? to spend hours looking at tape of CB you will be facing to get the edge on them? It fine to want to be a great player but are you willing to do what it takes. Irvin was a great WR but Irvin worked his butt off to be a great WR what ever it took he did that and more.

With a below average quarterback, Devin Street was a pretty good receiver in college and believe he was better than a 5th round selection IMO.

I believe if he gets the opportunities on the field, he'll do well with this team. He doesn't have to become the next Dez, just fill in for Harris this year and you'll make a lot of fans happy this upcoming season.
