JG is a smart man..“One of the things we have to do as a team is we have to give our fans reason to cheer,” Garrett said.
So if 25,000 Cardinals fans show up, we have a problem.
Arizona has 25,000 fans??
I suspect the tickets were already sold before the Cowboys recent success so we will see more opposing fans, but if we keep winning maybe less people will sell their tickets going forward.
I don't know if people r selling a lot of tickets. Maybe just not buying as many. There r always tickets on stub hub and other sites for opposing fans to buy.
That's true of any sporting event though.
You're probably right. The Internet is quite the equalizer when it comes to buying tickets. Remember the days when we had to stand in line or rely on snail mail to get a ticket to any event? Things sure have changed.

Success always helps but reality is supply and demand.
A Dallasite fan of a team like New Orleans that gets to see their team once every 2 or 3 years is going to put a higher value on a ticket than a Cowboys fan seeing one of 8 home games in all likelihood.
A huge percentage of tickets go through the secondary market, be it stub hub or whatever other reseller.
There are 15% or so that are simply professional resellers.
People selling tickets are looking for the highest price not the team affiliation.
Houston fans paid ~150 for 40 dollar standing room only admittance. That's kinda crazy to be honest.
The fact you can even resell that standing part pass area is kinda wild.
Dallas fans have no problems attending games in other cities and being quite vocal.
Again because those fans that get to see the team so infrequently can splurge for that week and when they do they are more likely to go crazy.
If the modern ticket market is going to operate this way then you will continue to see this.
If they wanted to stop this they could easily.
Mark Cuban IIRC refused to sell playoff tickets to people outside the Dallas/FTW zip codes.
I've been saying it all year long. Win consistently at home and the problem will start to erode. It will never go away but if you create an situation where the fans can go to games and see the Cowboys win it will make a big difference. Unfortunately our team has lost games important to fans consistently the last few years and that takes a toll. I know I'm tired of spending my money to see them lose.
Few years? Try over a good decade. It's been wearing on fans.
