Been pimpin' my pet cat # 2 for awhile now for SLB. Joshua Perry. Big strong, smooth linebacker. 3rd rounder probably, maybe slip to 4th. Plug him in and good for next 4 years for sure !

I like him as well...zero chance he falls to the fourth.

Schofield isn't really a scheme fit. He's not stout enough to play DE effectively against the run, and he's really not a coverage LB either. He's really a 3-4 OLB or Elephant type of end who rushes best from a two point stance. If they were looking to add him to play third downs as a rusher, then he could provide some depth in that area, but if they are looking for more, then he isn't the right kind of fit.

Andre Branch is a guy who doesn't have a lot of NFL production, but he has some tools to work with, and is relatively young. As a third DE candidate, he's worth a look.

He is really not a scheme fit, more of a 34 OLB.............maybe situational pass rusher?

I dont really see Gregory being a true LB. He isnt the same type player Miller or Irvin are. Those guys are tru tweeners whereas Gregory is a skinny DE. I didnt even like when scouts were calling him to be a 3-4 OLB. I don't think he really fits it other then the weight

I understand you about Miller but Bruce Irvin and Gregory are very similar. Especially at this stage in their careers. Irvin had no position. It was just get to the quarterback.

Peter Boulware was a 4-3 OLB for several years after only playing DE at Florida St. Mathias Kiwanuka was a 4-3 OLB for the SB winning Giants and wasn't the athlete Gregory is. It can be done, now, is Gregory worth that much trouble considering he's one joint away from a year ban, likely not. But he could easily play OLB in a 4-3, just have to design the scheme so that he almost solely rushes the passer, just like the players I mentioned.

Yeah, Seattle basically used him as a pass rush specialist at times and at the SAM at others but like you say he really is not a 4-3 DE.

He was a DE in college but coaches convinced him he would be a better LB in the NFL.
