I just love the tone that our writers set in a mostly innocuous article. Would it be too difficult to just write about who visited? The majority of the Dallas beat writers need to go, GRODBW!
It's a blog.

And Ellis aks for that sort of derision with his annual temper tantrum over his situation.

While I agree that Ellis can bring this sort of thing on himself, Timmy Mac is supposed to be a professional. This sort of blogging is out of control in the Dallas media circles. I rarely see this sort of thing happen with (professional) journalists in my area.

It's shallow and weak IMO. They can't think for themselves, so the just regurgitate what they read from their blog readers and forums such as this one. There are 100+ posters on this forum that could do the work that some of these guys are getting paid for.

..on that note, they're still better than Jason Whitlock.

I can give you $ 6.25 million reasons why Lawrence Sidbury Jr. would get on the job training while Greg Ellis gets a Texas steel-toed boot. He can take his crybaby, selfish, $6.25 million dollar, 3 sacks in 10 games, "I'm not coming out of the game", "the player was right", "I don't want to drop into coverage/I only want to rush", and run to Jerry Jones complaining and hit the road.

A team that has hit the 9 win total for three of the past four years doesn't need him. He isn't worth half that cap number, and his days are numbered, imvso.

I can't wait for that selfish iplayer to get the boot.

I'm so lighting candles for Lawrence Sidbury JR. to come to Dallas, so the Giants can get some of their own medicine (Ware/Spencer/Sidbury).

Dalllas is thin at many positions, so booting Greg Ellis shouldn't be a big deal. CB quality and depth is a strength of the team.

100% agreement on that one!

greg needs to go regardless

Greg was the 5th ranked OLB in the NFL last season in terms of sacks.

This while losing more and more playing time to Spencer.

Sure the guy whines and complains a bit each pre-season, but he's had 25 sacks in his last 38 games........I don't see why so many fans act like the guys is "chopped liver".

The Cowboys have produced a truckload of tabloid-type stories the last year, so that's the sort of coverage they can expect to get until they prove different.

Whitlock is one of the best sportswriters alive. I don't get the derision for him. He's blunt and rarely dances around a subject. I usually find him refreshing.

Me either.

So what if he cries a little. He still is a hard worker and overall a good example.

Hes just not happy with his contract but he has only himself to blame for signing it.

But I want to keep him. His good faarrr outweighs his bad.

The Dallas media has been this way for years now. It's not just a '08/09 thing, and the "tabloid journalism" isn't a direct reflection of them as a team. It's the reflection of the media's need to take any Cowboys tidbit and run with it. It's their need to do so because they wouldn't have jobs if they didn't. It's pathetic.

I couldn't possibly disagree more. One trick pony, and his trick is tired and lame.

Dwight Freeney seems just fine with that spin move, it's the only damn thing he does.

Thats because hes Dwight Freeney. If any old Joe could go out there and make the spin work there wouldn't be a need to pay top dollar for guys like Freeney and Ware.

I will say that it is interesting that his 10 yard split, his 20 yard split, his bench, and his broad jump were all better than Ware's.

He definitely shows some explosion...at least in drills.

Ya but before he was Dwight Freeney, He was just Dwight Freeney.

Why can't Sidbury be the same guy??

It's not like he's a starter guys,,just rushing the passer on some downs and spelling Ware and Spencer on a few packages. I think his spin move is something useful in the NFL..Freeneys been doing it for years and you still can't stop it!

Sidbury can get after the QB and he played a lot of time over on the opposite side of Demarcus Ware (QB's front side).

I hate videos like this. The guy had, what, 3, maybe 4 different sacks that they showed over and over and over again like he was really wreaking havoc.

I'm concerned with Spencer, he likes to drink - a lot. Or at least he likes the 'club scene' since his facebook is regularly updated constantly with him at random bars.

Ware made some comments, and theebs has been preaching this for a while - a lot of our younger guys, absolutey do not get it. I believe Spencer is one of them.

He is the worst but just marginally, lol.

This couldn't have been set on a tee any better.

I would rather play with two of these:

http://i146.***BLOCKED***/albums/r252/SparkleFarkle54/chipsCasper-Friendly-Ghost-1.jpg

Than have iGreg Ellis and i2Patrick Crayton on my team.

Yes. That is Casper the Friendly Ghost. I bet he will drop back into coverage and be Romo "Friendly".
