The big mistake by the FO and coaches is having Weeds as the backup. If Romo was a Manning, or Brady and never got hurt and had all these consecutive game streaks deals it would be ok. Anybody even know who Eli's backup is?? I don't.
But Romo has had the back deals, and a collar bone, etc. Huge mistake!
Dez Bryant playing for a quarter is better than Devin Street or Lucky Whitehead playing for a whole game, even if all Bryant does is draw the attention of the defense.
Dez missed just about every thing before the season and played in one game before his injury. He wouldn't be the same Dez if he is 100%.
Not 100% healthy? He wouldn't be that big a factor any way.
Despite missing just about everything before the season and not even playing a full game, he had 5 catches for 48 yards. That's more than Street, Whitehead and Butler combined for the season.

CBS football analyst Boomer Esiason recently went on 105.3 KRLD-FM The Fan to talk all things Dallas Cowboys. Here are some of the highlights:
On the possibility of Dez Bryant returning from injury to play Sunday:
"The effectiveness that we're expecting from Dez Bryant is not gonna be there. I would like to make sure that he is 100 percent. Now, Jason Garrett and Jerry Jones and everybody down there will know this better than I do, but I do know that when you put a guy out there and he's not 100 percent, he's not of sound mind, he's not of sound body, the likelihood is he'll play for a quarter, and then they'll pull him out and he won't be any good to the team.
"I would say instead of wasting a roster spot on somebody that you're not really totally sure about, it's better to wait another week, get him right, make sure he's 100 percent, and then bring him back."
On the importance of a win for the Cowboys on Sunday:
"If the Cowboys can win this game, and somehow stay in this, their next four or five weeks are gonna be really, really difficult. I think this is probably, with the exception of Tampa Bay, I think, in the middle of November, this is gonna be their easiest chance at a victory, so they better come up here, they better be ready to go, because they'll have a real opportunity to win this football game."
On making a switch at quarterback (Brandon Weeden to Matt Cassel) and moving on from something that wasn't working:
"It really wasn't working against the New England Patriots. Brandon looked like he was completely in over his head, and he looked like he just wasn't ready for primetime. Brandon, for a couple of games here or a half there, probably is a nice little insurance policy to have, but the more you see, the less you like, and I think that's probably what happened."
