So far this season the Cowboys have practiced at five different venues - Valley Ranch, Southlake Carroll, Coppell, Standridge Stadium and Cowboys Stadium was added to the list today.
Coach Wade Phillips wasn't sure if the team would return to the stadium Friday if there is inclement weather, but he was glad it was open for use.
"It was good to get in the stadium and it was pretty close to the time you're playing the ballgames and you can go out there and get more used to the stadium," Phillips said. "I thought we made the best out of it."
Phillips said it did not interrupt any meeting time, although the players did have to hop on the bus for 30 minutes to get to the stadium. Phillips said he would prefer to practice there despite the travel time if the stadium is available.
The best part - tours were still going on as they practiced.
"We heard some people cheering," Phillips said. "I think I saw Jim Mora Sr. over there. He just happened to be taking a tour of the stadium because his son is going to play here."
Relax, he was joking.
