We’re down to two weeks until training camp and two months until the season starts.
Recently we’ve learned that Greg Hardy will miss four games instead of 10 and Dez Bryant could be sitting out if he doesn’t get a long-term contract.
Seems like a good time to update my way-too-early season projection.
Sept. 13 vs. New York Giants: WIN. The Cowboys have owned the Giants the last few years, winning five of the last six. I’m predicting that Bryant will be on the field and the Cowboys will respond with an impressive showing on national TV.
Sept. 20 at Philadelphia Eagles: LOSS. Like most, I’m not sure what Chip Kelly has been doing with his roster, but I think he pulls out a few surprises and DeMarco Murray will look very good in his first game against his old team.
Sept. 27 vs. Atlanta Falcons: WIN. I expect the Falcons to have their best season since 2012, but the Cowboys get them before things start heading in the right direction. Bryant also finishes this one with better numbers than Julio Jones.
