Who do you have him ahead of?

2015 Pro-bowl Cornerback Selections:Vontae Davis, Colts; Brent Grimes, Dolphins; Joe Haden, Browns; Chris Harris, Broncos;Patrick Peterson, Cardinals; Darrelle Revis, Patriots; Richard Sherman, Seahawks; Aqib Talib, Broncos.

Not only didn't Scandrick get selected, he wasn't one of the three alternates (Cromartie - AZ, Shields - GB, and Williams - GB)

I'm not saying Oscan should have made the squad but Haden and PP made it in this year on reputation.

"We-fense" is good but I liked the "no houseguests" line better.

Everybody does their job. Everybody hustles. Everybody tackles.

He said the Cowboys have benefited from playing a little more Cover 2 in the secondary.

Interesting, especially with everyone attributing the improvement to playing more man.

I don't. I just think in his mind he probably sees himself as a Pro Bowl player.

If the Pro-Bowl had a spot for nickle/slot corner and I think he'd be one of the top guys and get a selection.

We show Cover 2 a lot and still play it but we do so many other things as well. I'd bet we rotate out of Cover two to Cover one a fair amt esp to blitz. Many teams do that. But IDK for sure. I just haven't watched enough this year. Last year we played a fair amount of Cover two and rotated coverage to one side as well.

Has anyone looked to see we we play any Cover 6 even a look like it in SPs?

Can't you hear it now ... stadium rocking "we-fense, we-fense!!!"
Oh, if the Zone was there, it would be on and poppin:star:
It's eerily similar to the 1992 defense in which none of them was selected in the PB and most of the offense got invited but we all know how that turned out and I hope this team will duplicate it with another Lombardi trophy. If we can improve the pass rush more the zone defense will improve as well that part of the defense is still a work in progress.

...exactly why JG have them playing balls to the wall Sun...this D is slowly but surely rounding into shape. They have no room to take time off for the playoffs. They're starting to jell.

I just hope that the defense does not want some payback because I bet they are licking their chops to play this game and...I don't want anyone hurt. However, you hurt one of ours, we hurt two of yours. Finish the fight...

This defense is the last unit that deserves some stupid nickname. They better not start feeling themselves like they did when they played Washington. This is a laughable thread and just like so many others that follow approx. 2-3 consecutive weeks of success.

Why? He's an ideal nickel corner or #2 at best. Not even close to all pro, really.

There isn't one pro bowler on that defense. Nobody got snubbed.

This makes it that much more impressive that they could end up with a 12-4 record.

I know Garrett does a lot of coah speak but I think he want some payback for the way they lost to Commanders at AT&T as for some fans being concerned about players possibly getting injured have to realize that this is football and injuries happen regardless whether it's practice, preseason, regular season, or postseason so I don't have any problems with Garrett playing his starters in this "meaningless" game to keep them focused going into the playoffs. I don't want any injuries either and really enjoying this ride of success and hope they can ride this all the way to Glendale and winning it all that so sweet.

There are more than three alternates. Janoris Jenkins is one, for example.

The Cowboys never announce their alternates, so unless a coach or player revealed it, we don't know who is or is not an alternate for us. But Scandrick wasn't even on the ballot because of his suspension.

Scandrick is a good player football player. Not saying he didn't deserve some consideration(if eligible) but I don't believe he got snubbed at all. Outside of McClain, Scandrick's absence would completely alter what the Cowboys can do defensively. But while extremely valuable to this team, I think he's a notch below what I would consider Pro-Bowl worthy.

I hope that ALL of the defense felt that they should be ion the pro bowl so they have a chip on their shoulder

He probably would prefer a ring to a trip to the Pro Bowl :):) I would
Indeed he likely would.

Scandrick really is a very good CB. He plays fast, aggressive football and is tough as hell. We've all seen him come flying up in run support with a terrific impact. The guy hits really hard for a smallish CB.

I still remember in the Chicago game a few weeks ago when he got so pissed off because the defense had been allowing Chicago to move down the field a couple of times. He knew the game shouldn't even be close. Letting a team that had pretty much quit for the season make a comeback was beginning to fester in Scandrick's gut.

After giving the defense a piece of his mind on the sideline, he promptly made the game clinching interception in his own endzone. Now that is how you do it. Not just lip service or hollow emotion in an attempt to get somebody to make a play. No, he walked the walk just as well as he talked the talk.

The defense has been playing extremely well since Scandrick blew up on the sideline. That is no coincidence IMO. From that point in the Chicago game on, they have been really sound with their fundamentals. They played well against Philly and very well against Indy.

It's pretty hard to clarify if this is a good 'no name' defense, or coming together and pointing to future directions. I'm betting on the later.
