OXNARD, Calif. — Forget about how much Tony Romo plays Sunday night in the Cowboys’ second preseason game at San Francisco.

Whether Romo suits up or whether he plays one series or two is of little consequence.
***snip***
The Cowboys have two weeks before they have to make their final roster cuts down to 53 players. Among the positions left to sort out is who will be the club’s fourth and fifth receivers.
***snip***
That will give the Cowboys a chance to take a long look at the candidates pushing for their fourth and fifth receiver jobs.

Want to see the new WR and get another chance to see Lucky.

Think lucky could make some things happen this yr. If Beasley gets hurt he could step in, and if Dez or TW get hurt Street has to step. But in reality any WR after beasly is going to see alot of bench time. Only so many balls to go around.

The fifth WR might not be on the roster.

Looks underwhelming so far on the fifth spot.

The fifth WR basically has to be a KR/PR guy cause we don't really have anyone else that can do it on the team. Whitehead looks very good in that role, and we're unlikely to find someone better. I don't give a hoot about a fumble in a preseason game.

Just as long as he doesn't make a habit out of fumbling. But it's better he learn his lesson in the preseason than when the games count.

He simultaneously got a perfect pull on his arm, then a perfect placement of a helmet to the ball in the process. 10 times out of 10 the ball pops out in the scenario. It's not like he was being loose with it.

This. They need to be a gunner on punts as well.

I thought we were pretty set in the top 5 and the only question was who and how many the Cowboys would put on the PS.

Devin Street is 4 with a bullit....

We need Lucky to be 5... I'm alway weary when we loose a position and try to fill it with a walk on... we usually end up spending money or drafting for that position the following year. Here's to Lucky being "Lucky".

Exactly. Nobody hates fumbles more than I do, but that was just one of those perfect scenarios and most players would've fumbled in that situation. He wasn't carrying the ball all Demarco-like, holding it out there waiting for it to be stripped. I really liked how explosive he looked during his returns.

They're unrelated. I've had that quote there for years. The pic changes from time to time. That play was one of my favorite moments of last season. I'm a D-Law fan and that play secured our playoff win. It was also great to see him come back and make a huge play after giving them a second chance with his bone-headed attempt at running after the fumble recovery. I could have a Romo pic but I like shots of our D hitting opposing QBs.
