In a good organization, the staff gets better with in action reports. Especially during games.

Well at least the jones boys are adapting to the situation, and saying lets get behind the guys who are going to
replace the guys we dont have.
Now if they would only develop a defense specifically for the guys they do have.

I think putting Carr on the side he was in KC might be a good thing.
Byron JOnes replacing wilcox should be a good thing.
Scandrick back should be a good thing.
Thornton at DT should be a good thing.
Some of the new DL may start to shine.
Durant back should be a good thing.

So it may not be as bad as some project.
I would llike to see Marinelli be more flexible, and bold, and design some better blitz tactics , and then use them.

"Don't count on guys you can't count on".

Pretty much the story of the past 2 seasons. Whether it be because of injury, character issues, or suspensions-- this team has been unable to reach its potential due to the fact that the guys they are counting on can't stay on the field.

Seems our coaches haven't developed any players for a very long time. They will need to this year. Heck, their jobs should depend on it. Let's see if they can, and if they can't, will Jerry hold them accountable. If not after this year, then in 2 years when contracts start to expire. As I can see them all coaching out their contracts, all the coaches under Garrett anyway.

But good post, as your bold comments on right on, but also if Zeke is what we think / hope he is, which is better than Murray for those long break away runs, then that is the biggest good thing.

Yeah I was focusing on defense, that seems to be what everyone is worried about.
Rolando and Gregory were not that good last year, so I dont think the team loses much with them gone.
And if a new guy plays really good then they are better off.
Not having lawrence the first 4 may hurt, but you they also get to look at these new and young guys, so we they see what they
can do, it is their chance to show something, and if anything they get valuable experience, and L will be back game 5.

So the defense can still be potentially better this year not worse.
It is up to Marinelli, he calls the plays and makes the scheme, and game plan, etc, so I think he has enough talent to work with.
I know he can stand on the sideline and holler and cuss, but what I want to see is a defense that looks well oiled, and competent.

"We're not going to live in the, 'He's going to come back next week...' or 'He's going to come back next month...' world," conceded Jones at the camp-opening news conference Friday.
Prove it.

Cut McClain today.
