There's a good reason why we're always hearing it takes several years to determine if a player is deserving of praise or criticism. Different so-called experts routinely come up with totally contrasting views of the same players. I'm guessing that's probably why they claim talent appraisal is an art and not a science. There does seem to be a fair amount of disagreement concerning D-Law, although I've read significantly more complimentary appraisals than those being critical of him. I'm betting Will McClay did his homework diligently. What's been said about him being a tireless evaluator is very convincing stuff. I think we'll be fine.
