Baltimore Ravens coach John Harbaugh telephoned Jerry Jones Saturday to apologize for comments he made about the Cowboys in the book, "Game Changers: The 50 Greatest Plays of the Philadelphia Eagles."

His comments also appeared in a story in The Dallas Morning News Saturday. Harbaugh, a former Eagles assistant, told Jones his comments did not truly reflect the admiration and respect he has for the Cowboys franchise.

Clarence Hill wrote a really good article that basically said while the 'boys have had their stars and glamour players, they've had quite a few players who came from humble beginnings and were major contributors thoughout the Cowboys history.

I think Harbaugh let his Eagles-based hatred for the 'boys speak for him from a place of ignorance.

I think his comments and the article cited here are both ridiculous.

Maybe the first part of the Andy Reid era the Cowboys were going about it the wrong way but since Parcells, they have gone about it the right way.

So the Eagles didn't go after TO, Runyan, Kearse, Asante Samuel, Darren Howard, Vick, and Stacey Andrews? They build it the "right way".

Vick is the right way huh? k...


If only Andy would take this "right way" approach to raising his children....

That's a very absolute, specific and powerful quote.

And like others have said, it wasn't scribbled down by some reporter in a locker room after a heated game. This was in a book.

Jerry has thick skin (he has to), but that had to have stung a bit, coming from an NFL head coach.

I think Harbaugh's anti-Cowboy feelings got the best of him, because that's a ridiculous statement. If I was Jerry, when Harbaugh called yesterday, I would have asked him to elaborate some more ... put him on the spot and get him to explain where he's coming from.

I think it's a terrible quote. How much is really wrong with the NFL now? I don't think much at all.

I think it's simply a classless thing to say, grouping an entire organization with what's wrong with something, especially for someone like Jerry. Harbaugh should have apologized.
