But does this mean anything to those players current contracts. I doubt it. The players will just need to get a new agent?
This does not mean they can renegotiate the contracts. An agent would assume the contracts and negotiating rights, for when they expire, or if one wants to hold out.

I wouldn't look for Carr's contract to be redone automatically.

However, I am just speculating on that is how it would work.

I think this is the right answer. Nothing happens to the contracts, although I wonder if maybe the players get to avoid paying that guy now.
