well our previous #2 who is now #1 was not really suited for #1 duty in previous assignments which relegated him to #2 of which he was previously. now, the previous #2, who is now #1, in looking back certainly wasn't suited for #2 duty of which he held previously making his status as #1 perilous at best. the previous peril of his #2 duties were not as daunting as the current peril of #1 duty of which he previously showed he couldn't handle.
so a new #2 who was also previously a #1 with marginal improvement over the previous #2 who...
nevermind.
he can't do any worse.

Cassell doesn't know the plays, but he should know the concepts/terminology. I believe the Cowboys utilize the Ernhardt-Perkins concepts and terminology which Cassell should know from his days in NE. (It's the same offensive philosophy that Belichick uses with Brady). However, the plays are actually based on Garrett's version of Turner-style Air Coryell so there's still a lot to learn.
