If Cowboys let T.O. go, then who are you going to blame?

Tim MacMahon E-mail News tips
That's what one of the many anonymous sources in SI.com scribe Don Banks' story about the should-T.O.-stay-or-go saga wants to know.
"T.O.'s getting blamed for everything that happened here this season. But he's not the problem. They want to talk about how Terrell is so disruptive in the locker room, and that's a lie. The guy didn't do anything this year to warrant the type of stuff you're hearing now. There's a faction that wants to get him out of here, and if they want to let the guy go, they should let him go.
"But if you want to be quick to run him out of here, who are you going to get in here to replace him with? Even with our No. 1 quarterback missing three games, he scored 10 touchdowns and had 1,000 yards receiving. So who's your No. 1 receiver if he's gone? You let him go, and say you're 9-7 again next year. Then who are you going to blame? Who are you going to blame then?'
Well, that's one good thing about the Cowboys' cast of characters. There's plenty of people worthy of having fingers pointed in their direction.
I mean, gee, start with the head coach on the hot seat. Or the owner/GM/ringmaster. Or his hand-picked head coach-in-waiting, who might have waited too long to take a head coaching gig. Or the celebrity quarterback. And on and on and on.
By the way, the anonymous sources in Banks' story were split on whether the Cowboys should cut T.O.

Everyone should just shut up about the whole TO thing, he is our best WR and a future HOF. We are better with him then with out him. As for the problem I say look at the HC first and go from there.
I think it is a big mistake to cut him. WE can still win playoff games and goto the superbowl let's all just start thinking like winners again.
Peace Out!!

I'm going to blame the only person that should be blamed, Jason Garrett. I'm sure I'm not the only person that saw the same plays over and over from the offense and there is one that should be eleminated completely. The little pass to the flat that NEVER gained any yardage.

Well, its about D A M N time somebody said the obvious,
T.O. has done nothing this year to warrant all the blame thats been heaped on him. The T.O. haters love to pile on this guy but I tell you, considering what a competitor T.O. is, and what a totally inept offensive coordinator Jason Garrett was this year, T.O. maintained remarkable control. Not to mention the fact when he does speak up, he is usually right in what he says. But that is lost on the T.O. haters.
Bottom line, the cowboys may not win WITH T.O. in 2009, but they sure as H E L L will not win WITHOUT him.

T.O. is an amplifier: If you're good, he makes you better. If you're bad, he makes you worse. He takes the highs higher, and the lows lower.
Unfortunately, the Cowboys are in bad shape right now. Wade Phillips isn't a leader. Jason Garrett is a joke. Tony Romo doesn't have the experience or confidence yet to lead the team (he will, but he needs more time and a better mentor). Next season will be a soul searching season, not a Super Bowl campaign.

I am glad someone is seeing the light and thinking right too. TO is very important to the cowboys as at now and for the purpose of clarity there is no other wide reciever that is readly available both on the draft and or free agncy that is capable of taking his place in the nfl right away. What cowboys will succeed in doing if they run him out of town is kill the goose that lays the golden egg, with no adequate plans as to who will succeed him that is very capable, tested and dependable. The others out there is just nothing but "what they are"TO is still important to the cowboys period.

Terrell is going to show flash and like all receivers he will have his drops. But how about we blame Romo for over throwing his receivers or throwing the ball to low. How many times have you seen guys have to reach down low to catch a ball. He has a strong arm but his accuracy is just bad. Yes he can hit Witten because he is not a very fast guy. But when you have a guy running down the sidelines wide open how can you over throw him when you have been praticing with these guys for two years?
It is crazy that because Terrell speaks out or questions there game plan he is splitting the team up. But the Ravens came right out and said they knew what Dallas was going to do. So how many other team knew? T. Newman speaks out and because he does not say a lot then it is ok. Weird, how we like to create more problems by looking at what the media show! The media needs for the Cowboys to get rid of Terrell Owens so they can have more to write about in this down time!
