Why him?
Grossman has good mechanics and utilizes his receivers on short-to-intermediate passes. He isn't afraid to throw into tight spaces because he's good at it and has a quick release. Despite criticisms, Grossman did lead the Bears to the Super Bowl last season. He has completed 56.1 percent of his passes this season and gains confidence when he has an excellent running game.

How he does it
Although not good at times, Grossman, who sets up quickly, can be difficult to contain. He's a patient quarterback and has good pocket presence. Grossman isn't afraid to move around the pocket and wait on a receiver. He will make the safe pass and can throw the deep ball, if necessary.
How to stop him
He hurts himself when he throws into coverage. If his confidence wanes, Grossman presses and stands longer in the pocket, waiting on receivers to get open. But against quicker defenses, this hurts Grossman because it leads to sacks. He has a 55.1 rating, which isn't good for a quarterback trying to bring his team back to the Super Bowl.
What about him
Attended high school in Bloomington, Ind. ... Grossman's father and grandfather played college football at Indiana. Grossman played football at Florida. ... Grossman finished his college career among the all-time passing leaders and was 23-9 as a starter. ...Grossman won the Ed Block Courage Award in 2006 as voted by his teammates with the Bears.
