Looks like Jerry has already responded to the growing rumors that Wade will be fired...

Read the interview for yourselves though...Contrary to the title, I don't see any reassurance that he's committed to Wade.

By losing the first few games of the season, is Wade Phillips’ job in danger or should people just take a deep breath and relax?
I think you hit it right on the head there. First of all, everyone knows you’re going to be criticized and that part comes with what we call criticism is negative critiquing of where you are with your coaching and what you’re doing on offense and what you’re doing on defense, those types of things. That goes with the territory but that’s earned and wanted because when you don’t win your first two ball games, you’ve accepted yourself to that and so that’s just the way that it is. It doesn’t surprise me at all and I do understand the sentiment that’s out there.

Relax, fans! I'm keeping Wade!

Ah, the dreaded vote of confidence...fair thee well Wade, we hardly knew thee...:)

Just kidding Wade is here for the season.

As long as Jerry is running things it doesn't matter who our coach is. We got lucky with Jimmy Johnson. We haven't been lucky since.

Interviewer: Asks Question

Jerry: Uses alot of words that seem connected, but are not.

The only way Wade and the team get the respect back is by wining some games. we are tired of empty talk they have been saying the same things for years.

It's just plain crazy.

Heheh.. gotta love Jerry. He said a whole'lotta nothing there. If we lose to Houston I still don't see how it would surprise anyone if he fires Wad...At 0-3 the season is done anyways. Might as well let a new regime get a head start on next season. Heck we might see some profound improvements. Never know...we know what we get with Waddly..

If we fire Wade we won't have a D coordinator. So basically having Wade as our only D coordinator handicaps us. Campo can step up but we run a 3-4 I wouldn't have too much faith in that. It'll be horrible if we fire Wade and expect Campo to step up and handle a 3-4.

I'm still trying to figure out how Jerry allowed Wade Phillips to be the face/head coach of the most valuable sports franchise in the US.

What a joke, what's next? Jim Zorn? Bobby Petrino? Nick Saban!?

SMH

Jerry is like a politician. He never gives a direct answer. I have no idea what that meant that he said.

One thing he didn't say is that Wade's job is safe, at least in the DMN transcription.
