Interesting, most want a pass rusher, but will be against trading what you need to trade to get a potential Hall of Famer at the position for the rest of his career.

Instead we are hoping to get lucky at #28 or later. Not like they are available in free agency anymore, unless you pay big money. Do you want to pay big money or big in draft picks.

We got to stop expecting something for nothing......he even asked to be a Cowboy......goodness.

I give up nothing, because nobody ever lives up to that kind of trade-up-hype.

Trash article for clicks.

In all honesty, I'd do it. We will be in much better shape next year cap wise to make FA moves, if this year is a wash (but with the potential of him being the difference maker) so be it.

Since 2016 was an anomaly as far as draft position goes, are you really telling me you wouldn't give up Byron, Gregory and 28 this year for Myles Garrett? Pshhhhh

Kinda funny to me, image if Gregory got his stuff together (of course, big if), and we had Gregory and Garrett starting. Let DLaw walk, at that point who would care.

You want a war daddy, ok you would have 2. Yeah, it would be something to think about, especially since if we did it we wouldn't be drafting high anyway so those picks would be low.

Then all the late round DBs all you guys keep pumping up would still be available to us.

He'd have to be one hell of a player to give up 2 1st and a 2nd for him. Not worth the risk. Maybe if the defense didn't have so many holes.
Man, that would not remotely even get us close to getting him from 28.
It'd be dirt cheap.
There is no chance at that price.

If we were trading up from 8...not 28...two 1sts and a 2nd might do it...maybe. But probably not

Btw, Im not suggestig to try.
Just saying that from 28, it make take two whole drafts....not really possible or feasible.

Two firsts and a second? Hell no. We're not one player away from winning it all.

I politely disagree, because if we had a "Von Miller" type on our D, it would put us as a contender, no question. Out of Jaylon (if he plays up to hype) and the possibility of Garrett, you may have two players wreaking havoc on defense. Obviously counting on Jaylon being 100% and Myles being actually drafted by us, but I think he could bring us to the dance.

Have to give up too many picks to move up with too many holes to fill. Wait on Derek Barnett or Taco Charlton later in round 1.

Our secondary as of now isn't as good as last year. No guarantee who we draft there will make us just as effective in the redzone (as we were last year, #1 on the road). And we have to give up 2 1sts and 2 2nds for this Garrett (which in my opin isn't enough to do it) , no way we improve our overall secondary.

Do you realize how expensive this guys going to be IF he is as good as everyone thinks he's going to be? For years I've preached that we're better off with a team full of "blue collar guys" that come to work and produce rather than a couple GREAT players on a team with below average players around them. The Pats have one "Garrett" on their team who happens to play QB. After Garrett's rookie contract is up, barring major injuries, he will be unaffordable. Too much to give up for one player. You don't throw your entire draft away for one player. It didn't work for Ditka and it won't work here.....

Ditka was an idiot for doing that for a RB. Pass rusher is a premium position, and rarely do they get into free agency these days if they are truly elite.

Not saying we should absolutely do it, but if the offer is there, it should be considered. Will any of the top pass rushers in the NFL right now hit the free agent market? You see Von Miller hitting the market anytime soon....how bout Mack.....or Donald....nope.

All I'm saying is in this day and time we might have to get aggressive to get that guy. Granted the Pats just let them walk, but guess what, we don't have the Emperor, we have JG. We need players.
