Good stuff from Babe, gives a little perspective on some issues. always need that.

Like Braxton Miller. I said i think he could be a difference maker on this offense. But if he was a 4th round pick. Maybe a 3rd, and not so sure about that, with other pressing needs.
He is right about not being under pressure to take a RB now, with Morris in place, but man, how can you pass on Elliot...elite OL, potential [as ALL drafted players are not known] and an elite RB...how can you go wrong there.

DE, and Gregory / Bosa, he is right here, one more screw up by Gregory and gone for a year, and most likely his career. So Bosa is a very goo possibility. As he said, look at the history, not the 'he has his life sorted out"...how many times have we heard that before.

picking Gregory in the second round now looks like a big mistake but we will just have to live with it.

Laufenberg: If I am looking at it positionally, the offensive line is just fine. Tight end will be solid. Would like a running back, because you can find one later in the draft. The one area that needs to be addressed is WR. The position held them hostage last year. A lot of blame was laid at the feet of the backup quarterback, but the field really closed in when Dez went out. So what happens if he is out again? Have to have a viable contingency plan.

I don't feel that the receiver position has to be addressed.

I don't believe the receivers benefited from the QB play. I know Bryant didn't have a healthy game all year, but even his numbers suffered when he played. I believe Romo not playing held Dallas hostage last year and several receivers would have looked much better if he would have been healthy.

Now, I'm not a fan of Terrence Williams' body-catching, but I do believe he's a decent No. 2 ... and I like what Brice Butler showed when given a chance. I also believe Beasley will get back to shining when Romo is throwing him passes.

I'm also not saying we can't upgrade the position, just that I don't think it needs to be addressed.

That'd be nice.

He already has ties to the Cowboys being that his late father played for us at one time.

The kid seems to have a really good head on his shoulders, very smart, and loves football. Not to mention he's a playmaker.

Sterling puts the R in RKG.

Didn't know Derrick was his father.

I think we need a real deep threat WR who forces teams to account for him. We see too many teams closing in on our offense and I think we saw that, even before Tony got hurt. In years past, Tony was able to extend plays and that masked the need for a deep threat to a certain extent but those days are probably over for Tony. I expect us to try and keep Tony clean and not expose him to hits so extending plays will probably be something we see less and less of. We need to be able to force teams to keep help over the top. I believe that real deep threat is a definite need for this offense.

I think Butler has the speed to be that deep that, so does Whitehead. I'm not opposed to adding a more legitimate threat than them, I just don't see it as a need.

I wouldn't be opposed to a significant trade down in one, taking a wide receiver, and then taking two defenders in the second.
