Why would the Cowboys be interested in Nick Foles? Had a terrible year with the Rams last season.

Laufenberg: Everyone had a terrible year for the Rams last year. And the Rams have had a lot of terrible years, suffering through 9 consecutive losing seasons. Closely watched what the Rams were doing offensively when the Cowboys practiced against them last year at training camp, and did not like their offense much. Rams finished last in virtually every important statistical passing category last season. Only team in NFL to average less than 300 yards of total offense. No surprise they have a new offensive coordinator. I just can't erase from my mind that in 2013, Foles threw 27 TD passes and two interceptions. 27-2! That is ridiculously off the charts. So it is now someone's job (Wade Wilson? Scott Linehan?) to get that out of him again.

How has Dak Prescott looked, and if the Cowboys didn't add a good backup QB before the season, would you be comfortable?

Laufenberg: I don't think there is any way you can look at Prescott as the backup, not this year. The learning curve would just be too steep, too fast.

I saw a while ago that he bought his way out of his contract with the Rams last week.
He'd likely be the most affordable guy available. His agent is Garrett's agent as well.
Oops, just saw where Foles made a deal with the Chiefs. Forget about that deal.

It's doesn't matter -- Foles just signed a deal with the Chiefs and is out of the running. He would have been the most affordable. Not now.

He is also the CBS sports guy on the local station, as well as radio broadcasts with Brad Sham. Sometimes he is pretty right on, other times he has some way out comments with a bit of overblown negativity. As it seems he thinks since he's a local sports media guy, he is right and his opinions mean more than they do...LOl... I say that with a little joking attitude. As mostly I like what he has to say in mostly a honest straight opinion. But just sometimes he can come off a bit off based. Kind of a hint of JJT & the Goose is the best I can describe it.
Overall I like to hear and read what Babe has to say though.

Now Dale Hansen on the other hand, comes across as a condescending arse. I do not see how he has kept his job for this long. He MUST have picture of someone on ABC, local channel 8.
