JJT opined today that Montrae Holland's addition sends a bad message about the Cowboys' backup guards. Here's all you need to know about Holland: Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said the five-year veteran will definitely make the 53-man roster.
Holland started all 16 games for the Broncos last season and has started 46 of 68 games in his five-year career. Compare that to the three others. Pat McQuistan was inactive the first 15 games of his rookie season in 2006. He played mainly on special teams last year. Cory Procter started two games at center last season. Joe Berger has been inactive most of the last two seasons.
"We think to come in there and get a guy who started and has as much experience as he has is an opportunity for us when we look initially at our backup situation," Jones said. "We don't have those kinds of starters on the team. That was a plus for us."
When asked if Holland will start in Cleveland, Jones said: "He's really got some catching up to do in our system. That's why Hudson Houck's the highest paid offensive line coach in the country."

I think the sooner kosier is back the better.

Its kind of ironic that for the second year in a row our depth has been talked about at length. But for the second year in a row we are left chasing players on other teams to make up for our lack of depth.

I dont think we are done adding players. And I think it is time to stop bragging about the depth. Alot of the guys we cite as depth do not appear to be able to play to me.

sorry rant over.
