No team has been more active during the off-season than the Philadelphia Eagles. And no player on Chip Kelly’s roster seems untouchable.
Philadelphia’s leading rusher and leading receiver are now on different teams. Same goes for the Eagles’ starting quarterback who made the Pro Bowl in 2013.
Their busy off-season began with 30-year-old Ed Marynowitz being named vice president of player personnel. When the free agency dust settled, three-time Pro Bowl running back LeSean McCoy was in Buffalo and the NFL’s leading rusher and former Cowboy DeMarco Murray was in Philly.
The drastic changes have left a lot of experts scratching their heads. Former Eagles QB and current NFL analyst Ron Jaworski recently discussed why he doesn’t think the changes have made Philadelphia a better team.

Here is a breakdown of the Eagles’ moves so far.
Key additions:
Brad Jones, LB. Started 23 games over the last three seasons for the Green Bay Packers.
Sam Bradford, QB. The first overall pick of the 2010 draft has missed 25 games over the last two seasons because of left knee injuries.
Walter Thurmond, CB. Key contributor to 2013 Seahawks Super Bowl team, Thurmond missed the majority of the 2014 season with a torn pectoral muscle.
Byron Maxwell, CB. The former Seahawk signed a six-year deal that included $25 million guaranteed.
DeMarco Murray, RB. After rushing for a Cowboys single-season record 1,845 yards, Murray signed a five-year, $42 million deal with the rival Eagles.
Miles Austin, WR. Four years removed from his back-to-back Pro Bowl seasons in Dallas, Austin signed a one-year deal with Philly in late March.
Ryan Mathews, RB. The former first-round pick had a pair of 1,000-yard seasons during his previous five seasons in San Diego.
Kiko Alonso, LB. The 2013 PFWA Defensive Rookie of the Year was traded to the Eagles in exchange for LeSean McCoy.
E.J. Biggers, CB. Played in 15 games last season for Washington, recording 32 tackles and four pass deflections.
Key losses:
Nick Foles, QB. Traded to St. Louis in exchange for Sam Bradford. Foles threw 27 touchdown passes to only two interceptions in 2013.
LeSean McCoy, RB. Rushed for nearly 3,000 yards and scored 16 touchdowns over the last two seasons.
Jeremy Maclin, WR. Coming off his best season — 1,318 yards and 10 touchdowns — Maclin signed a five-year, $55 million deal with Kansas City.
Todd Herremans, OL. Signed with Colts after 10 seasons with the Eagles.
Trent Cole, OLB. Signed with Colts after 85.5 sacks and 10 seasons in Philly.
Cary Williams, CB. Started every game the last two seasons for the Eagles.
Bradley Fletcher, CB. Started 27 games the last two seasons for the Eagles.
Nate Allen, S. A starter the last five seasons for the Eagles, Allen had 62 tackles and four interceptions last season.
Casey Matthews, LB. Started 11 games last season for the Eagles.
Draft needs:
After finishing 10-6 for the second consecutive season, Philadelphia has the 20th overall pick later this month. Biggest needs: Cornerback, wide receiver, safety.
Popular first-round projections: Landon Collins, S, Alabama; Best available cornerback.
