This is what gets me about a so-called subjective call. In the absence of clear evidence to the contrary, the ruling on the field stands as called. If it was ruled a catch would it even be a subject of debate two years later? The fact that it is still a controversial call two years later says something. And if it is a subjective call as he called it how can it be overturned if originally called a catch?
Never!!!!!!let
the ****
go.
Did Somebody mention "Beating Dead Horses?" Dean BLINDino...You can never find enough dead horses to beat.
Enough time for a football move, according to the blue-ribbon panel of former players who voted to put the football move back into the rule after a one-year hiatus courtesy of Mr. Blandino. They should have asked him to define "time."
You can beat a dead horse, but you can't make him drink. You can never find enough dead horses to beat.
Exactly..that's my biggest beef with all of it. It might have, it's a good chance it did, but I've never seen itTwo years later, I'm still waiting for the INCONCLUSIVE evidence that the ball ever hit the ground.
Dean Blandino does not get overall positive feedback from his fan interactions. Give me a break.

It could have just as easily bounced off his inner forearm
Some on here swear it did. I've seen the replays as closely as I could. I can't tell for sure. The ball moved, but was that from the momentum from his hand hitting?Set aside "football move" for a moment. Did the ball ever hit the ground? It appeared to me it might have, but I never saw an angle that I think could be considered indisputable.
This is one excellent example I'd like to hear some answer to. There are several good examples that show their inconsistent ruling lacked credibility. Nothing shows Dez's should've been conclusively overturned.
I still can't understand why no one has ever asked him the question about the judgment of Side Judge Terry Brown that enough "time/football move" had been achieved and that is why he called it a catch and down by contact. With the emphasis in 2014 of letting the call on the field stand, something extremely dirty had to happen behind the scenes to change it. That question has never been answered to my satisfaction and probably never will be.They should have asked him to define "time."
Dez had control and took three steps (not just two feet down), and some "time" obviously passed. If there is a minimum amount of time that has to pass no matter how many steps the receiver takes, then it should be stated.
