In January, the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that arbitrator Shyam Das ruled in favor of the Eagles on a grievance filed by the NFLPA in November 2005 on behalf of Terrell Owens.
The Eagles suspended Owens four games without pay for conduct determintal to the team. The Eagles withheld Owens' last five game checks totally over $900,000. But Owens must give the club some of the $2.3 million signing bonus money back. Das ruled Owens must give the Eagles $769,120.
Owens, who just signed a three-year extension on Tuesday that pushes his current deal to about $34 million, hasn't repaid the money.
Yet. But he plans too.
"Yeah, I have to pay that back," he said. "I don't mind paying that. It's not a big deal considering what happened [Tuesday]. They can have it. How they want it. They want it in cash, pennies, they can get it. However they want it, really."
