" We really are friends and work together as friends."

It's been a long time since I've seen players on this football team talk about something like this. This is why you see them giving 110% effort on the field to each other. You can't coach this. I have that feeling this year you're going to see this team get deep into the playoffs.

Not to be argumentative on what's a nice point, but we hear stuff like this all the time. The DL was really close just a few years back, and that was supposed to be because of the personal time spent together in the offseasons. Dez has said similar things, too, about the current WR group. And I recall hearing this sort of thing pretty commonly from teams across the league. What's different, is these guys also happen to all be able to really play.

I was going to post the same thing. One OL unit formed a band too.

Interesting to see that he knows about guys that were gone before he got here.

He’s the only one that really has the experience and played with some of those guys with played for a really long time, Kosier and Colombo and those guys.

True. But I think it's especially crucial for this to be true for the o-line. I think this group, more than any other group, needs to be close. And I'm not sure if the olines of previous years were this close.

I think one benefit this OL has is that the mentality that comes with being a running team is different. They get to go after guys and hit people, as compared to forming a pocket and not letting guys in. Then when they do that well, it breeds a confidence and toughness. They get to dish out the pain.

I obviously prefer and enjoy hearing how close they are... Especially a stud like T.Beard throwing props to the vet (and weak(est) link).

But honestly if they hated each other but were still having this kind of performance I'd be cool with it.

I also enjoyed hearing just how much of a freak Tyron is. :)

It's always easier to relate positively to one another anytime you've been successful. I'd love to see it continue.
It's always nice to hear friendly comments being made about teammates. Good chemistry is practically always present in the teams that enjoy success. Hey -- it's a big factor in the existence of their success to begin with.
