Anybody who has had a knee injury can attest to the fact that even when the doctors clear you and your knee is 100%, mentally is extremely hard to trust it. You plant, but it's always in the back of your mind that maybe it will give out and you just don't plant as hard for awhile. The good news is that with time, you won't think twice about it and you're good to go.

You will never be able to see it and only he will know, but he just won't mentally be all in on his knee for a few weeks and I'm sure the coaches know it.

He's the best player on defense, we need him to play like he's never played before.

The worst part is you overcompensate because you're trying to protect it and you end up putting too much on the healthy leg and end up hurting that.

Excellent point and so true. I know for me I was taken out on a double play at second base and tore it up. It took me a year to come back and another year to make the turn properly again, but I was fine for many years after. At the time, I simply could not get myself to trust it. It's very disconcerting.

I love the nastiness Scandrick brings to that side of the ball. We lose that when he's not on the field. The best defenses play with his mentality as a whole unit.

It will take awhile for him to get back to where he was before the injury.
He has to get back in game shape, and play awhile.

Yep. Blew mine out playing HS football. It messed with me for two years unless I started kickboxing and my legs just got stacked. Even then, though, I almost always used my good leg to plant. It became a tendency that got me swept a few times until I made myself break it.

I can't believe Scanny has already been here 9 years. I thought it was only 5 or 6. I remember his college coach telling the Cowboys he'd be the best CB we had. It took him a while to hit his stride, but once he did he has been steady. Hopefully he can get back to where he was.....
