Morris Claiborne’s No. 1 goal entering this season was to make it through training camp without any injuries. After having surgical procedures on both knees over the past year, Claiborne has bounced back quicker than many had expected.

On Saturday, he played in his first preseason game since his rookie season, starting and playing 32 snaps.

“I’m somewhat satisfied,” Claiborne said. “There’s a lot of little things I feel like I can do better, but so far, I can’t complain.”

Claiborne hasn’t come close to reaching the potential that was placed on him when he was drafted sixth overall in 2012. After recording only three interceptions and starting only 25 games in three seasons, the Cowboys declined to pick up his fifth-year option in May.

Claiborne blames his lack of production on all of the injuries that have forced him to miss 19 games.

Is it just me or does that football look huge in his hands?

Claiborne = Comeback player of the year

Gregory = defensive rookie of the year/defensive player of the year

Romo = MVP

Bryant = offensive player of the year.

I'd love for Claiborne to tear it up in a contract year and shut his guys down. Get 5-6 INTs and make the pro bowl. Play with swagger.

Personally I want to see a ton of threads debating about a decision next offseason. That would be nice.

If he did all that, I still don't know if i'd pay him nor slap a franchise tag on him.

The guy really needs to get his confidence up,and we may get him back to playing solid ball for us.

A pick early against Eli would be nice.

I know we are all pulling for Mo because that is what is best for the Cowboys. Even though most have written him off. But I still think he has a chance to be a solid CB. He will never live up to his draft status but at this point that really doesn't matter any more. The Cowboys learned from that mistake and that knowledge is really priceless. Now we can only hope he stays healthy and can start being a part of the solution instead part of the problem.
