I submit that Romo's best play was actually a series of plays in a certain situation: 4th quarter, on the road, trailing by one score or less.

16 of 18 88.9% 169 yd 2 td 0 int 142.8

That includes playoffs, so if Dez's catch doesn't get overturned on review, completions go up to 94.4% and the rating goes up to 150.

That's insanely good.

Well, that's incredible.

The HOU play to Williams was the most impressive play to watch.

The conversion to Williams in SEA was a more unlikely and more important play in that game, in my opinion. And that was one of the 3-4 most important games of the year (behind the play off games and maybe that final PHI game). It definitely set the tone for the season.

Personally, I think the Dez catch that was wrongly overturned in GB was his biggest play last year. One, it was just incredibly gutsy. Two, it was a great throw, coupled with a great catch. Three, it put us in position to possibly win that game, and 4, it was wrongly overturned which cost us a shot at advancing (sorry, but that evidence was disputable by any standard). That's big by any standard. Plus, I don't like it getting swept under any rugs. It should be front and center for last season where it belongs.

Yeah it seems a little predictable too, but I'm guessing it's a lot quicker when you're at field level.

If the defensive player studies film really well.. then they will be ready for it. I have seen other rushers not fall for it and I can tell they studied the film. However, Romo does get most people with that fake... I think it is an awesome move because the rusher is coming full force and when they see that step forward they commit to it and then can't change direction when he spins.

One of my friends pointed out that fake move and we laugh now every time Romo fools someone with it. Last time I remember was the Watt one but I'm sure he did it after that game too.

My pick would be Romo's TD to Williams in the Detroit game before the half.

Some of the other plays were either not as important at that time or partially due to the effort of the WR. The offense was stagnant against the Lions which had a great Run Defense, Free was out and Murray was banged up. We just got screwed on the play before where we threw a bubble screen of sorts to Witten for the first down on 3rd and 3 (IIRC) as the refs called a bogus holding call on Williams.

So we desperately need to score and it's 3rd and 13 and Romo hangs back in the pocket and fires a strike to Williams right at the time a Lions defender hits him and Williams takes it to the house. Most of the time, any QB would have trouble with that play because they either couldn't get the throw off or throw it accurately enough. Williams was more or less in the right place and was able to go in for the TD, untouched. Had the throw not been on the money, that would not have been the case.

Loved that play. I was there live... it was a game changer.

All great plays. Hard for me to judge. But what impresses me is how accurate and how strong Romo's arm is.

I re watched that game the other day and I still think that ball was going to Witten. Williams made the catch of the year coming out of nowhere!

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but I've watched that play at least a dozen times, and I firmly believe it was going to TW. Witten never even looked back for the pass, for one, but more telling was Romo directing (with a hand gesture) what could only have been to TW to continue running toward the sideline. At least that was my take on it.
