Darren could end up being a sweet surprise for us. I know the expectations are low in general (as are mine), but he has a chance to rejuvenate his career behind a heck of an O-line here. Hope he can sort of be at RB what Ro was at LB last year.
Although even if he doesn't pan out, I have confidence in Randle. Lots of folks around here are dogging him, and I think he'll prove them wrong.

I am not thrilled about it however it depends on how this approach is used. I would hope to see one step up enough to become the primary back and have the backup give him breathers through out the game.
Patriots hate it too, oh wait.....

Patriots are a passing team. They don't win by running the ball. Even their RB by committee didn't even come close to the production that Murray had last year. Thus I don't see anything special with their approach.
I know this has been rehashed, but nobody wins because of their running games anymore.

I think it's more fun having dominant back. Of course, you have to actually have one of those--and one who can do it multiple years hopefully.Am I the only one who doesn't like running back by committee?

Not true. You think Seattle wins because of their passing attack? The main reason why we went to the playoffs last year was because of our running game.
Some McClay tidbits..
