Do any teams still have an interest in Mike Jenkins?

Is there any knowledge that any teams still have an interest in Mike Jenkins?? If so, what is the last offer(s) that we think they made, if any?

If we do trade him i feel we need to get something this year, player vet or rookie and a pick for next year. EX. Colts TE Dwayne Allen 3rd draft choice this year and next years 3rd pick--or--flip flop next year's 1st round picks and the Colts next years 3rd round pick. I don't know if these are realistic, but it's us saying this is what it will take or we keep MJ.

I heard the Arizona Rattlers were really high on him, but no trade offers as of yet.

Wait till a team (particularly a contender) loses one of their starters in camp or early in the season. Jenkins stock will be a lot higher then.

But for the price he's definitely worth keeping around another year.

No sense in just giving him away for an old pair of cleats.

I'm betting there are teams interested. Didn't the Colts make the last offer? Terms weren't made public to the best of my knowledge. Doesn't matter, we are not trading.

Right now they haven't heard the right offer. This is a moving target and as situations change in the league or the season progresses expectations change.

We just have to wait for it and know this is not the right time or else it would have been done.

Don't forget the compensatory pick if they keep him. It could be a 3rd rounder.

I have no doubt teams would have an interest in Jenkins. If Dallas released him tomorrow he would get picked up in a snap. Now a team may not be looking to give a 1st or 2nd but I think some here under estimate his skills and other teams desire to upgrade their own secondary.

Huh? The Cowboys can turn off their phones relative to trades. Where did you get the idea they have any obligation?

Sure it always makes sense to hear offers. Not sure how obligations got into this.

I would agree that far too many here have fallen into that trap. And or they just can't stand unresolved "issues".

Oh no. We have one too many round pegs and must immediately exchange it for another shape.

One of the guys on the Cowboys Break show said this and I agree. That Jenkins played better in 2009 than any other CB we have on the roster.

Fairly significant if you think about it. We all hope we got close to our money's worth with Carr and certainly that Claiborne is a future star......but we don't know this.

Either way, CB is always in demand and Jenkins has trade value. We just need to be patient and let the market demand increase over the summer.

In response to the OP. I'd love to parlay Jenkins into help for a need area this summer. Give me the right player at OC or FS. Or a 2nd round pick we could turn around and use to get that player.

For a 5th, 6th, or 7th rounder, I'm guessing all 31 teams are interested.
For a 4th rounder, I'm guessing about 25 teams would be interested.
For a 3rd rounder, I'm guessing maybe 5-10 teams.

If Jenkins threatens to not play without a new mega-contract, then no one will trade anything for him.

Can't see him doing that. Sure he wants a new deal but IF we hadn't drafted Claiborne and Jenkins starting spot was all but assured, there would be no issue. He doesn't want to be buried on the Cowboys' depth chart.

So he'd jump on any trade to places him in a position to start.
