harper was not very fast, as it showed when he went to the skins and became a bust.....

Wow, slow down, the kid has one big game and you want to make out to be Harper. NO. They both need to stop turning the ball over in key situations. Could they be yes, even better, too small of a sample size though to make that call.

I love Dez as much as anyone. But lets not just tap the breaks on this one lets slam on those suckers.

Dez has a long, long, long way to go before I'm going to consider him like Irvin and I'm not just talking about during football games. I'm talking about in practices and meetings and everything.

Irvin played every practice like he was playing in the most important game of his entire life and he demanded the exact same from everyone around him.

Dez is as physically gifted as any WR to ever play the game but lets see if the kid can put the other parts of it together with that before we try to talk about him alongside Michael Irvin.

Willams needed to get out of bounds at the end of the first half. He nearly cost us 3 points.

He averaged 32.5 ypc his one year with the Skins....though he only had 2 catches lol
I think you're referring more to the time he spent with the Bucs

Comparing Dez/Williams to the two is a good idea, but you could do that with every combination of good receivers in the league. Hartline/Wallace are almost a direct parallel to what Dallas did with Irvin and Harper...possession guy and a deep threat.

Irvin had a few of those.

Irvin had 7 fumbles in his career and only lost 3. Dez already has 10 with 5 lost. I love Dez, but I think some people are being a little too quick to put him in the same category as Michael. He was one of the most dependable receivers in the history of the game. Dez is an amazing talent and I look forward to watching him continue to improve and becoming the most dominant receiver in the game. I think Williams has the potential to be as good or better than Harper. Alvin disappeared in a lot of regular season games, but he showed up big in the big games. I think that is why he flamed out after he left the Cowboys.

I'm not sure it's smart to use Irvin as a role model for off the field behavior, although on the field absolutely

They remind me of Dez and Williams.

Williams is getting alot of love this week. I hope he continues to progress.

It's not that he was getting a lot of love this week....it's that he was getting hate for being a rookie a few games into the season.

I'm not talking about off the field as in with the strip clubs and stuff. I'm not saying Dez needs to be like Mike away from football.

I'm talking about off the field as in not the field when the games count. As my post clearly pointed out I'm talking about on the practice field and in the film room and weight room. Those other areas where Irvin absolutely exceled at as well.

Especially what Irvin brought to the practice field. I don't know that Dez is doing anything like that.

The away from football stuff isn't even a factor in this conversation as far as I'm concerned.

he actually went to Tampa first, not sure how old he was when he went to Washington, but I don't think speed was his problem in either city.

So I guess to combat that people are going to overreact with the love by comparing him to our best receiving duo of all time lol.

As a duo, Drew and Thrill Hill were a pretty darn good pair too, so I dunno.
