Probably just extra padding but 9 kinda does look a little portly.

The ones who laugh off the observations of Romo looking like he's out of shape every year are the same ones who act blindsided when he suffers an injury every year. The truth is he's been one of the most injury riddled QBs in the league over the last 6 years. And given the way he shows up to camp every year it shouldn't come as a surprise.

The truth is he broke a couple collarbones and punctured a lung- neither of which have anything whatsoever to do with his weight.

Romo gets hurt because he's a tough SOB who hangs in the pocket and takes his hits. Neither of which has anything to do with people complaining about his stomach weight.

Normally I would say who cares about his physique. But wouldn't you think as fragile as he has been that he would be living in the weight room? Clearly he hasn't.

Yes, Romo is tough and will hang in the pocket and take hits but no, that is not why he got hurt last year anyways. He got hurt last year because he tried to spin out of a tackle after it was too late, got caught in the side, and extended his arm out to brace his fall with the weight of the defender coming down on him. Both times he broke the collarbone, the above scenario in folded exactly the same way.

He definitely looks bad, and that's not padding.
His face and neck show he's gained considerable weight.
Vets at his age should be coming to camp 5 pounds lighter each year.

No, the truth is he started experiencing back issues at 33 and hasnt been able to practice a full week in 3 years.

How many other starting QBs around the league have a "Romo Wednesday"?

Back problems are directly correlated to being overweight and having a weak core.

Still incredible to me that's he's able to be so elusive with such an unathletic body.

Lol. They also correlate with having giant men crush your spine repeatedly.
