but,

I was so MAD when we got cute on 4th and short and gave the ball to Vickers vs Murray.

Was I the only one who would of gave the ball to Murray?:bang2:

Oh, did I mention how HAPPY I am?:)

Didn't like that, and didn't like the penalty numbers, but we finally put our throat on an opponent's neck.

I like it.

You're definitely not the only one. Horrible play call. Seems like this FB dive has been in the 4th and short mix way too often with Red.

Ride your horse Murray or leave the ball in your best player's hands to throw it.

The problem with that entire sequence was that Ogletree had the first down prior with any sort of proximate spot.

This!

Come on Red, you have to challenge the spot there!

A QB sneak there gets 31 other teams a first down about 95% of the time.

Garrett just won't call it.

Ogletree definitely had the first down. Bad spot, but giving the ball to Vickers was an odd call.

Didn't happen last year against them.

I liked the call to go for it on 4th, HATED giving it to Vickers.

Honestly, though, I was surprised it wasn't a classic Jason Garrett shotgun draw play.

It was an obvious first down. The ref moved the ball back about half a yard. This escaped any commentary from Michaels or Collinsworth.....:bang2:

Garrett still thinks he has the Moose in the back field, I guess.

These things don't bother me as much in weeks 1-4 or so. You've gotta figure out what you can and can't do. It's a new team.

The problem last year was that we kept banging our heads against the wall on things we had a lot of evidence showing we weren't good at.

Should have ran the stretch to Murray cuz it seems it worked everytime we ran it, at least for a few yards.

I didn't love the call but it wasn't terrible either.

If someone touches Rolle then Vickers had the first down. They were just trying to take advantage of the defense not being ready for Vickers coming at them with the ball as they would be keying on Murray.

Later on in the game they started running more outside in the short yardage situations utilizing Murray's speed and ability to run over a LB for a yard in space.

Parnell wiffed on the block of Rolle. If he so much as gets a hand on him it's a first down.

Um, what?

Were we necking with them or something?

I forgot about that as I am so excited.

How in the heck did he not touch the man in front of him on a running play? He needs alot more work.

#73 after getting ran over early in the game.....settled down and did a decent job Zoners:)

I kind of liked the call...

It obviously didn't work, but I like giving it to the big guy to pound it those few inches. Handing to the fullback, the ball gets back to the los faster. Less time in the backfield gives you a better shot to get the first.

Like I said, it didn't work, but I would say handing it to the fb on 4 and inches with every o-linemen on the roster on the field is kind of the opposite of getting cute.
