Do People Really Think Surtain Goes Before 10?

I’ve seen White engage in lineman plenty of times even from his position. He’s obviously not the Mike and doesn’t have to engage to that degree but I’ve seen that dude blowing up lineman. If Parsons is one dimensional what is JOK ? He’s better in coverage and that’s it.

He's better in coverage. He's a better pass rusher. He has better instincts.

I think he’s obviously a tremendous athlete. Good instincts. Plays fast. Ability to drop into coverage. He’s a hybrid. But honestly there are games I watched Notre Dame and didn’t know he was on the field. I compare him to Parsons and he’s better in coverage but that’s it.
Okay, thanks for answering man. Honestly more people like Parsons over JOK, so I get it. I’m just really high on Koramoah though. I doubt he ends up in Dallas anyway.

No worries. I think Parsons is the best defensive player in the draft and he won’t end up in Dallas, I still think it’s Surtain.

Yeah, I get why people like Parsons. He's a very showy athlete. He's a splash play machine. I just don't trust his instincts at this point. He so raw at the position. PSU allowed him to essentially play as a rover and freelance from the LB position. He won't get to do that as much if at all in the pros.

He could turn into an electric talent, but I think he has high bust potential too.

He’s definitely better in coverage than Parsons. And I think JOK easily has the better instincts and is a much more natural football player than Parsons. I think that JOK finds the football quicker and gets to the ball quicker than Micha. Koramoah just processes faster and changes direction more easily.

However, I don’t think he’s a better pass rusher than Parsons, who IMO a more natural pass rusher than he is LB. He played DE in high school and he plays like one when he’s sent after the QB.

As a matter of fact, if Parsons does go to Dallas, I hope they give him a chance to play some at the LEO spot because I feel like he’d do well there.

Overall though, I like JOK better as a modern LB.

You do realize the same thing could be said about JOK. He doesn’t even have a position. You don’t think he’s raw ? I’m more confident in Parsons being a productive LB at the next level than I am JOK.

Yep, probably Surtain if he’s there. I’m cool with that too. He’s a really good player.

Probably Surtain in Dallas, Parsons in Philly and Koramoah in Vegas.

Yup. It's all personal opinions at this point. JOK absolutely has a position. I don't know why people still insinuate that the SS/WILL hybrid is some random new thing. Lots of teams employ it now and have for years, including the one this forum is dedicated to. His versatility also means he never has to come off the field. He can play at every level of the defense at a high level.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Parson is a bad player and I wouldn't be against the Cowboys drafting him. I just prefer JOK and think he's the most dynamic defender in the draft. If the Cowboys want someone who is instinctual and has their coveted "position flex," but also plays fundamentally and flies around, JOK is the guy.

I respect your opinion on Parsons, even if we don't agree.

No worries. I definitely don’t see the player you see especially in comparison to Parsons. Time will tell.

Atlanta for some reason has been linked to Surtain. If they make a trade with Denver, I would be concerned. Atlanta is now the team that has control of the draft because they would trade down for the right deal. To be honest though, if the Cowboys really want Surtain, all they would have to do is give up their 3rd round pick to get him. He is not going before the 8th pick.

That 3rd round pick is too valuable. If Surtain is picked, just take the next guy on your board. And I’m a big Surtain fan.

I think the problem is this is a very shallow D draft so a player that has his pro day and is from Bama, his stock rises. Farley's surgery exacerbates this as well.

If a team doesn't jump them, DEN takes Surtain to combat the WR's in their division and they've got a little inside from their WR pick last season. He is the first D pick off the board and before 10.

I love Surtain, but honestly, I’d trade down if possible. There are excellent CBs deep in this draft. I’d prefer drafting Pitts, OT, DE, LB, or S in round 1, though safety is also pretty deep.

Denver is drafting Parsons.

He's our pick then. Jerry and showy is like hand in glove. The red flag's are out, the follow to ball Jaylon (2.0), hope they've tested his game play acumen.

This is the big concern with our Defensive set up, it's not about individuals, it's all about playing a scheme.

You think Parsons is elite but we don't see it.
Where did I ever say that Parson was elite ? Stop lying to suit your narrative. I said Parsons was the best defensive player in this draft and a better prospect than JOK. Which I fully stand behind. Try again..
