i don't wanna sound like a Commanders/mavs fan here, but does it seems like TO gets the short end of the stick sometimes? i mean its now two weeks in a row that he has been clearly pushed out of bounds when he could have easily come down with a catch and two feet in bounds? also last week he barely tossed the ball and got called for spiking the ball ON A FIRST DOWN, not even a touchdown.

but in contrast ive seen many times were people have been spiking balls and no calls get called. also just before the cowboys game jones-drew ran for a long td and did a flip going into the in zone, wasn't that part of the whole excessive celebration rule? what do you guys think?

It's not right for refs to do T.O. like that but that's what happens when you're a prick for most of you're career, like he's been, add being a Cowboy on top of that to!

Um, dude are you kidding me?

idk about other Mavs fans, but from what I've seen of Spurs fans (friends and message board people), they complain a whole hell of a lot.

Spurs fans complain? not nearly as much as Mavs fans.....but just so you know, nobody, and I mean nobody, takes whining to that other level like the Suns fans. My goodness the season is about to start and Suns fans are still whining about their loss to the Spurs in the playoffs.

I know we did whine a lot when Duncan got ejected by Crawford, but that was warranted.....Duncan and the Spurs were totally hosed that game.

it all starts with the organizations and players. Avery and Cuban are always whining after games. we know how much the suns, specially D'antoni whine. but do you ever see Pop or our owner, or players, whine after the games? nope, and dont give me that crap that duncan always whines in games after calls go against him, everyone does that.

Ugh, another Mavs/Spurs thread.

Keep Avery out of this, though. He at least tries to shut that crap up.

It definitely starts at the top; Cuban cries a lot.

But I don't know, most of the Mavs fans I know aren't much of whiners.

Every fan base has its whiners.

And dude, Duncan DOES whine after every call. I've seen him whine when he gets the call. Great player, but he's a whiner. Actually, if you want a player that doesn't whine much, look at Dirk. I've only seen him whine once in a game, and that was when he was complaining about Bowen, "he pushed me!".

haha, ya its like that, if you take a poll of spurs and mavs fans, 90% of them are cowboys fans, its just how it goes. as for avery, i can give you that example from a couple of years ago when bowen was abusing Irk and after a game he started talking about how bruce uses "bearhug defense" its sad to see avery whining, thats a reason a lot of people dont want his jersey retired, although im not one of them, i still remember that game winner vs the knicks.

i know he whines after calls, but so does everyone else in the NBA, including dirk. my point was that whiners are defined as people crying about the refs after the game, like Mike D'antoni and cuban. i can give you an example of a non whiner, lebron james. in the finals in game 3 he clearly was fouled on the last play of the game, he started whining to the refs, but after the game, he said it was before the shot, blah blah blah, and started stating other reasons why they lost. thats the kind of stuff the spurs organization does, and i said it starts at the top. who is the cavs "top" mike brown(former spurs assistant) and danny ferry(former spurs player/executive).

as for fans, hell yeah all fans of all teams whine, thats a given. i still ***** about calls against the spurs in the 2006 playoffs against the mavs. but like i said, you gotta define it by the organization as a whole.

I won't say he never whines, but more than any other Mav player/official he tires of the constant excuses and tries to get them to concentrate on their own play and not those of the officials.

It's nice to see Avery get his jersey retired. He was pretty clutch in that series.
