Do some fans not even realize how much this franchise has bottomed out?

I never said I wasn’t disappointed by the playoff losses or was satisfied with just making the playoffs. The point I keep making is the organization hasn’t been as dreadful the past 30 years as some of you make it out to be. Just because a team keeps falling short in the playoffs doesn’t mean they’re a dumpster dweller.
I doubt that anyone is making the point that the Cowboys’ regular season success is the worst over the past 30 years. Saying they are the worst performing playoff team or worst at accomplishing ultimate team objectives over the past 30 years is a matter of perspective. That’s the message from these fans.

Some teams don’t get there very often. Miami hasn’t won a playoff game since 2001. They’ve only made the playoffs five times the past 24 years and are 0-5. There’s other teams that have had more playoff futility than the Cowboys the past 30 years.
So we are not last...better than some of the worst in the league...and we should be happy! Satisfied!

That's the issue. You seem.content....I like to.compare us to Eagles, niners, chiefs.....not Miami who is down right awful and the celebrate that hooray we are not last or worst!!!!

The Cowboys aren’t the worst playoff team the past 30 years. They’re not the worst organization in the NFL. Frustrated fans exaggerate.

I made it perfectly clear I’m not content.

Ah-so you are repetitively arguing that the Cowboys’ 5 playoff wins since 1996 is not the actual absolute worst in the league. I can see why people might surmise that you are content with the results. Hyperbole is a fan mainstay.

People were arguing before that Dak extension that the team was destined to be a bottom five team without Dak. Then just this past season the team promptly went 4-5 with Cooper Rush with a much worse team than the previous 3 seasons. Hyperbole is part of the fan experience-fans get emotional over whatever they choose.

We are a work in progress. Don't under estimate GM Jethro. We could be last soon enough.

In the past 30 years Dallas, Cleveland, Miami and Houston haven’t made it to a conference title game so you lose again. You must enjoy being owned. lol
Four out of 32 is many? And three of them other teams which is not many

YOU JUST GOT OWNED

I guess for people who have low standards that is good enough

There’s a process to reaching the playoffs and SB and it all starts with the regular season. You can’t be looking ahead. They play 17 regular season games for a reason. Those regular season wins are important if you want to go further.
The goal of every season is to win it all.
Making the playoffs is the default prerequisite, not an accomplishment

I agree! If anything, the Cowboys deserve criticism for holding onto hope for too long and not allowing for a proper rebuild to happen. Looking back, it's actually a wonder that they've had the regular success they've had. Maybe a poor NFC East for so many years (until last season, of course) had something to do with inflated regular season numbers, I don't know.

But good trying to convince some of the CZ members on here on that!!
