Only for McClain not Gregory or Lawrence . They'll save like 3.5 million of mcclains salary .

All 3 do not get paid while suspended, So the team will get cap relief for that. I am not sure if they get it this year, or can defer it, or if they have to wait to get credit next year.
By keeping McClain on the roster, they can recoup that cap money as well. But if they release him before he returns from his suspension they will lose part of it.

that is correct.....they get relief for all 3 but they also have to add guys to the roster to cover for them, so the savings are minimal(except for McClain who is making a lot more)....they can get back the full 3.3m cap hit from McClain after fines for missed camp and the suspension

I thought suspended player's salary still counts against the cap, it just goes to charities, and I also thought they counted against the 53 man roster. So seeing this Cap relief is a good sign, I've been away to long lol.

Edit: unless the player get's cut I thought they counted against the 53 man roster. Not against the total allowed to dress for games though.

What are we going do with this cap relief? I hope we use it to upgrade an area of weakness

Fines from the NFL go to charities, suspensions salary does not, they just don't get paid. The team should not be punished for the wrong doing of off the field stupid stuff.
But fines for late hits, and stuff like that go to charities.
Suspended players, players on PUP and NFI do not count against the roster. Only active players count.

DAL will be close to 10m under the cap when you count the McClain money, so they can add some talent if needed....they will lose some to IR guys like KMoore and maybe Gachkar
