Do the Cowboys purposely draft players in the Texas/Oklahoma/Arkansas region?

Remember when we were on the Boise State kick? I do think scouts develop a certain comfort with certain teams and college coaches we trust and other times you're watching film of one player and all of a sudden another guy from that school jumps out.

However, its not like they're only drafting from those schools. Last draft we took 2 Michigan players in the first 2 rounds. Rewind to 2021 we didn't take any players that went to college in those states.

Wright is from Oregon state. Maybe they got lost out scouting

Very true. It just seems that way but when you look at the roster it’s pretty spread out

I don't trust west coast players. They're typically soft and overrated. (Not all, but many are.)

I would draft all SEC and Ohio State guys for the most part.

IIRC after McClay got more power in 2013 they've limited the amount of smaller school players taken

But nothing just limiting to regional
