The New York Daily News suggests the Dallas Cowboys are interested in Plaxico Burress – assuming his legal troubles are eventually resolved.

After letting go of Terrell Owens, the team needs a new go-to wide receiver, and Burress might be worth the risk.

Of course, it's worth keeping in mind that Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has historically not looked favorably on players with off-the-field troubles – he got rid of Pacman Jones, didn't re-sign Tank Johnson and cut T.O.

(me - I'm thinking no way. Just someone trying to get attention)

they better not. For all the whining and crying about team chemistry and such, this would be a horrible move.

Peter King seems pretty sure that Plax won't even play football in this coming season by either being in jail and/or serving a league suspension. Then he'll be 33 yrs old and one year removed from football. All this IFFFFFFFFFFFF he doesn't get in trouble yet again which is certainly anything but a given. He may already be in more trouble with his recent brush with the law. What a punk. No thanks, TO was more tolerable.

These writers must be bored. The formula must be this:

A= Cowboys need a receiver with the absence of TO
B= Available WR on the market
C= Write article about Dallas wanting receiver

A+B=C

For a more advanced formula, go A+B+C=D (C=Troubled WR)

LOL, WHAT? Pacman and Tank were both criminals with "off-the-field" trouble BEFORE we signed them.

If Tank had 10 sacks last year and Pacman was balling like Deion-Lite, they'd both still be here, let's not kid ourselves.

Precisely! That's the first lesson in Sports Journalism 101 these days.

Why in the world would Dallas want this guy? They could have just kept Owens if they were just terribly worried about WR, rather than sign a guy probably going to jail.

So we get rid of a HOF WR with an attitude to go get a good WR with legal problems and an attitude.

No way in hell.
Why would we? Doesn't make sense at all.

Plax is considerably better than TO at this stage in their careers. He is worth signing in my opinion.
