Do u guys really think we can beat Cincy and Pitts?

So...I've learned from this thread that positive posters think we might win either or both games. And the negative ones think we have no chance. Do I have that right?

Who else is flabbergasted?

Don't tell me you're frequenting this place for the fluid complexity and integrity of thought?

To beat the Steelers we will have to hope that our offense plays great and that the Steelers turn the ball over numerous times. After watching the Steelers destroy the Ravens offensive line yesterday, I see no way that our line will be able to hold up. Dick Lebeau also has his corners playing more aggressive bump and run coverage so it is very difficult to find an open receiver quickly. I'm afraid that game is going to be our worst of the season.

And also hope Roethlisberger doesn't play.

I heard during yesterday's Ravens vs steelers game, that he is playing this Sunday. I thought it was a little premature to say that but they made it sound definate.

I think they can - I am not so sure they will.

Defense is pretty suspect without Lee and Carter - it is going to be really tough!

I think we have a shot. And I am not a Garret supporter or considered a homer. If the offense can get on a roll we have a chance. But the D is probably going to give up some points, so we will need to score some TDs, which is something we haven't done much of.

I do. Anybody know where all the fluid complexity of thought went? I could have sworn we kept some in one of these forums...:)

If big ben plays ... i dont like our chances. Cinci ... i dunno ... i dont like our chances there either.

Can't afford to lose any games but if we were to lose one more I'd rather it be an AFC opponent so it doesn't affect tiebreakers.

Hoping for a 3 way tie with Seattle and Tampa, where head to head would be thrown out the window and we sneak in the 6 spot.

That is probably our best chance to get in. I don't think we are catching the Giants, especially after they shellack the Skins tonight. Seattle has an easy schedule down the stretch though....

No, we can't and we won't.
If you watch the other games (other more effective teams). Comparatively we are too soft and too poorly functioning for a full 60 minutes as a team. At times we look ok but we have no consistency with any of the 3 phases of the team.
6-10 or 7-9 at best.

Honestly, I think the Cowboys are capable of beating any team...including themselves. Therein is the issue.

True, Dallas has shown they can play great football and pre season football all in one game. They have 4 games to go Cin, Pitt, NO and Washington. Not an easy task but if they can figure out how to play 4 qrts of ball they can put themselfs in a position to make post season, if they don't then likely will be home for post season
