Do u think Cowboys play it safe the 1st couple of Offensive Possessions until the O-line settles down?

I would think you have to call mostly run plays and quick short passes. Let these young guys settle down. Even if it means a couple of 3 & outs. You hate to give up on some of your offensive possessions but you dont want anything bad to happen on the road early.

I hope our D can keep the game close. The longer the game goes on the better I think out O-line plays.

Garrett probably has the first 20 plays scripted. Nothing about Garrett would suggest conservative, especially with Romo at the helm.

I think they should look to establish the run early. If they are successful in this aspect, then this should open up the rest of the offense.

Overall, I think they will just take what the defense gives them. Dallas has a ton of weapons, and as great as the Jets' defense is, I don't know if they will stop ALL of them. The Jets will have to pick their poison. Dallas will need to find a weakness and magnify it, but the key is establishing success with the run.

I think people forget that romo kind of calls the play (gets 2 plays at the huddle and calls which one he thinks is better)...this is probably why it looked liked we passed alot with romo. Romo loves the throw the ball. Thats why with john kitna we ran more because he wanted to run the ball more. At-least thats what I think. I don't think garrett set wade philllips up for failure like marshal faulk and other media writers would leave you to believe.

With this new line tony might decide to just run the pass instead of trying to pass it.

I think we start the game off runing and attacking the edges of the jets defense. We know they are stout up the middle but with out team speed on offense we can attack the edges or run some zone plays and hopefully have a big whole in the cut back lane and catch the jets aggressive defense over pursuing.

Look for Felix jones to make a name for himself sunday night (running, swing passes, and screens). He looks quick and alot more powerful than he has before. He looked like he took this offseason really serious.

I could be wrong, but I would against the Jets, the guys with the big receiving totals will not be Austin & Bryant, but rather Witten, Jones, Phillips and potentially Murray.

I think we will see a lot of screens and targeting the middle of the field, especially on hot routes.

I think Jason will see exactly how the young guys up front respond from the get go, I think he take some aggresive shots early to try and get big chunks of yardage and get a lead and quite the crowd and take the Jets out of what they want to do. If the O-line has problems early I think he scales back and becomes more conservative.

Red Ball might take a shot or two, but he has to consider the possibility that romo would be under severe pressure early. With this very young line vs a veteran Jets D. But he also has to think about the distinct likliehood that the Jets are able to run on us.

Quick passes; two step drops, maybe rollouts on O. He will also want to see if we can run the ball.

I wouldn't even try to run against the Jets early. You're not going to be able to do it. Use screens and deception plays, show you can beat an overload blitz, and work the TEs over the middle. Play field position, don't turn the ball over, ever, and take an occasional shot downfield wherever Revis isn't. Be patient, let Romo buy time in the pocket, and try to last long enough for their underneath coverages to breakdown.

Given that EVERYONE is expecting run/screen or quick short pass with 1st possession I think Garrett will go MAX protect and send two WR routes to go deep. Either go deep or throw it away!

I think we're going to come out and go bombs away off the jump. Shock the stadium, the fans, and the Jets' defense. Make Sanchez have to try and beat us with his arm.

I think we'll play it like we usually do. I don't think we'll be dink and dunk and pass heavy like we were early on last season. I actually think Garrett has a lot more confidence in the O-Line. I really do.

Other than witten, I'm finally relieved to be able to say that every offensive snap is directed towards a starter who is explosive and dynamic.

Roy Williams and Marion Barber really held our offense back.

Rob and Rex run a similar defense, so I think after practicing against those blitzes for a month, the young Dallas oline will surprise a lot of people as to how well they handle them.

I think Garrett will try to help this offensive line by being more horizontal and quick short passes, maybe still use a lot of play action and draws.

We have to use our skill position players to finally remove the blitz.

I maintain the idea that if you're afraid of Felix, Dez, and Miles... you simply can't blitz often.

I think people before felt like they could blitz marion barber, and the worst case scenario is he rips a 10 yard run. You blitz Felix, he makes a guy or two miss and he can go for a touchdown on any given play.

I don't think Dez is especially fast, but his ability to go up and locate the ball is amazing. I think as he evolves defenses will have a lot of trouble deciding what to do with him, miles, and Witten.

People used to take away witten and miles, and leave Roy to his own devices, but I don't think you can take that approach with Dez without getting hurt badly.

I wouldn't put TOO much stock in this mentality.

The Browns QBs were sacked 36 times last year. 3 times by the Jets with 5 qb hits.

What will help Romo is the offensive lines ability to move the pocket, and a stronger reliance on the running game, with the addition of two legitimate threats in the passing game.

I am not sure we want to play it safe and let their defense and crowd build momentum. We need to do everything we can to get out to a fast start, that is the best way to take some of the air out of the energy that is going to fill that stadium. If we get behind early we could be in for a long night.
