the way jerra was talking it sounded like hiring a GM was in the realm of possibility. Maybe he can mend fences with Dan Reeves.

I didn't get that impression at all.

I thought he hinted around at it as well. Of course maybe he was just drunk when he did so, and will come to his senses that only a 6 foot hole in the ground can take him away from being the GM of this team.

Dan Reeves as GM? Sounds too good to be true.

I think he made it sound like it is within the realm of possibility, but i don't think it really is.

Not a chance in hell.

We can win with Jerry at the helm if he'll just hire a good coach, empower him, trust the scouts, churn the roster, don't fall in love with players, etc, etc.

We just need a special coach that can earn Jerry's trust, massage his ego and convince him the culture needs to change and winning team first football is the #1 priority.

Its a tall order, but its the best we can hope for (imo)

just Jerry playing the victim again and saying he will evaluate everything. If he is was sincere about making real changes...he would have hired a true GM years ago. Typical pathelogic personality...says/hints at changes...but ultimately doesnt.

I don't think so. I think he actually believes he is willing to do whatever is best for the team, I just think he is too egotistic and stubborn to believe that he isn't the best GM for the team.

Me neither. By the end of the PC, he's back to his devil Grinch mischief voice, ready to betray the fans once again. This is another move to fool the fans. Nothing's changed.

Of course not. Always a new coach, but never a new GM. Probably a wacky coincidence or something.

Jen Engel asked Jerry about structure and if garrett can put his stamp on this team, and Jerry didin't know what that meant....the guy is clueless as the day is long

he honestly cant belive that if you look at his track record as GM. If he truely thinks he is special GM...than he is dilusional. If he doesnt think that he is very good as GM and continues on with it ...then he is insane....take your pick.

He may be dilusional, but his track record, in his mind, is 3 Super Bowl championships from a team built almost from scratch. I'm sure he sees the coaches and players as the problems rather than the GM.

I was thinking of something that happened at an NFL meeting before Jimmy got fired. It had something to do with the coaches at a table laughing about Jerry's football knowledge and he took offense to it. Can't remember the details though. It wasn't too long after that Jimmy was gone.

......key three words being: "IN HIS MIND" here. That's the pathetic part of why he can't move on and hire some football men and a GM to turn this thing around permanently. He will not and/or can not admit that it was mostly Jimmy Johnson that was responsible for drafting the guys he knew SO well from coaching in the college ranks. Jerrah has become Al Davis Jr., it's sad but true....:bang2:

Wishful thinking friend, but I am with you!

He said he will look at whatever needs to be done...... coaches, players, and himself included.

What is everyone's fascination with Dan Reeves. Dan Reeves was a coach when I was in high school and that was 4 decades ago plus. The game has long since passed Reeves by. He was a failure in Denver and Atlanta. Why do you insist he could put something together here. He is 18 months younger than Jerry Jones. Get somebody younger that knows about today's game; not a dinosaur. Forget Dan Reeves! You're dreaming!

Jerry the GM is not as big a problem as you all would like to believe.

It's the popular thing to do because the media loves to bang on Jerry Jones, but Tim Ciskowski and Stephen Jones are more than running things, in my opinion.

They love retreads with "skins on the wall."
