By trading down with the Jags from 80th pick in the third round to the 92nd pick. We have their 125th pick which is (I believe) 4th from the bottom. It sure would be nice to either add another earlier 4th rounder (either from trading 1-2 of today's picks & maybe next year's 4th rounder) or trading either a 6th and/or 7th rounder along with our low 4th rounder for maybe a top 15 pick. But a 125th pick is better then no pick. With the present 6 picks we now still have, hopefully the BPAs on our board turn out to include at least a pretty good OL & a FS.
Sure would love to get Max Jean Gilles. Understand most of the concern turned up his weight, etc. But I thought about a month ago, there was an article where he mentioned he had been advised lose 20+ pounds and he was down around 343 (loss of about 12#) but he intended get down into the 330s. Wonder what happen? If he still on the board when we pick (very doubtful), wonder if Parcells would take a flyer on him depending on any previous contact with Gilles (maybe at the combine?).
I'd also would really like to see us get an OT who could play LT in the pros & back up Adams. Don't like the fact that Fabini is our only LT backup. If he's starting at RT, then we suffer there by moving him--particularly if Pettiti while improving still isn't ready to start. If neither Pettiti (and Colombo if he still around then) can't play well at RT, we'd have to move Kosier over with either Peterman or Gurode starting in his place. Point is we dangerously weak on our OL/depth & getting an OT even in 4th or 5th around could help--unless we plan go back into FA signing mode.
