Do we have more confidence going to Houston now?

Id like to think so. We avoided going 1-3 with our biggest outburst offensively this year.

In the NFL your often only as good as the last game. Good news is we face another 1-3 team Sunday. One which avoided starting 0-4. And looking to save their season.

How big is this week for us with Jaguars looming next week? A loss to Houston and we will be facing potentially 2-4.

It’s nice to enjoy our win but the pressure continues if we are intent staying in the race.

I think we’d all be feeling much better at 3-2 and worse case scenario of 3-3.

I wouldn’t call Houston a must win but if we lose then Jacksonville becomes must win.

Wait, we are going to Houston? They aren't coming here? Then no confidence. Our away field advantage has evaporated this year. :(

My confidence has always been that this is an 8-8 team. Nothing has changed.
Probably so. Good news is our division is looking more like it’s fallen back to us.

Eagles are looking 2-3 squarely in the face this week too with Vikings.

8-8 could keep us in the hunt this year.

...well, lets just say its better to win this week, cause the chances of loss go up the following week. I had no idea the Jag game was so soon.

not a lot of confidence they barely beat a team that is 1 and3 it took so much effort from zeke not so sure he can do that every week someone else on the offense is going to have to step up

This is actually the weakest part of our schedule with three 1-3 teams in first 5 games.

The bigger question is do all of the forum's Negative Nancies have more confidence going into Houston now?

Sheesh (miss Coogi... need to contact him on Facebook and convince him to join CZ)

The easiest part of the schedule is almost behind us. Except for Carolina, the teams we have played have been pretty much bottom of the barrel. Yet we are .500.

After Houston comes the tough part of the schedule. I see the Houston game as a toss up very much like the Lions game. Which it pretty much was. Zeke had to play out of his mind to beat a pretty sorry Lions team.

The Jags game will be no toss up.

I'm very confident they beat Houston. The Cowboys know how to beat bad teams. The offense plays well against unorganized defenses. The Texans are giving up 27 points per game (22nd overall in yards given up). The 3-13 Giants beat them at home. Should be easy pickings for this week.

Never underestimate the importance of these types of games for JG, JJ, and the league. The Cowboys must remain relevant for as much of the season as possible (even if they are just average). Keeps people tuning in to the games, which is paramount to the league and JJ. The league's worst case scenario would be a string of losses that basically removes playoffs as legitimate possibility.

A 2-5 record heading into the bye would mean a mass exodus from watching the rest of the games this season. The officials will give the Cowboys the benefit of the doubt on 50/50 penalties against weaker opponents especially in critical situations. Gives people a reason to tune in.

I live in the Houston area and their fan's hate for the Cowboys is real so the place will be rocking Sunday night. It's going to be a tough one.

Yes, I attended a Cowboys game there a few years ago. Houston has always hated us because we have not only a more successful franchise history but more popular.

Texan fanbase is basically only in Houston immediate area.

I don't think any of the players lost confidence in themselves.

Dak is a very steady player emotionally.

I do think the player on offense were questioning the scheme. Zack Martin insisted on some changes to the blocking scheme prior to the Lions game. I could show you some examples of run plays against Seattle where the blocking assignments were too complex and one imperfect block killed any chance of gaining yards.

They also used less players at WR and TE in the Lions game. Jarwin and Rico didn't run many routes. The 5th WR played less and the 6th WR didn't play much if at all.

I have no confidence. Houston can score and that's our Achilles heal. Plus that place will be flying Sunday night.

I expect a lot of blitzing by the Texans to start, to see how Dak can handle it.

I’m actually more excited to see Watson play.
