...when he got shafted my first thought was, "huh". If I'm correct , he hit every single PAT and FG attempt before season ended. So we bring in this guy, who has monster leg, then misses a 53 yarder.

That missed attempt was crucial, those 3 points came to be difference in game.

..your thoughts?

PS.. I know its still first game.

I dont think anyone will Debate otherwise that its clear Greg > Kai. Yes the missed kick was unfortunate, but we had another opportunity to tie and passed it up.

..umm, ..thats interesting. I didn't think of that.

it was over 50 so NO let's stop finding more and more issues to gripe about..

i saw the titans kicker miss 4 and xp and the coach after his game wining FG said no issues and hes staying the kicker..

The Rams missed a much shorter kick so it was a wash. 50 yarders are no gimmies in the nfl and a bit better odds than a coin flip to make it. Greg is 60% in his career during his career from that distance so not a shocking miss by any stretch.

Or maybe the missed FG by the Rams was the difference in the game

Beat me too it and after the miss. I was wondering if we got rid of the wrong kicker.

It was a 53 yarder. Those are tough kicks.

too early to say we will miss Forbath. For bath isn’t without his warts either.

People draw false correlations between raw law strength and accuracy when it comes to long distance field goals.

Forbath actually has a higher career conversion rate from beyond 50 yards even though Zuerlein has a demonstrably stronger leg.

Yah because no one misses 53 yards much. LOL

It was the first kick of the year genius. I guess you don't know who Zuerline is do you? I guess you don't know who Forbath is either?

But he's also tried much, much fewer of those long kicks.

I'll admit I had flashback to our last big name kicker signing as that failed spectacularly.

Would've like a TC competition between Kai n Leg, but whatever...not tripping on a kicker unless he's bad as Maher.

I would be really disappointed to learn that a wide-right *53 yarder* would have diminished a coach's confidence in a kicker to the point of making a bizarre call to avoid a chip-shot FG later in the game.
