Do we need a better Tight End?

Doesn't matter as long as Witten refuses to come off the field
And would this staff actually play a better player? I think if San Francisco's George Kittle were on the roster, Jason Garrett would extoll the wondrous virtues of Jason Witten, while telling us that Kittle will 'somedsy' have a chance to help the team. Oh, the fun of loving the Cowboys...now for 51 of my 56 years. I don't complain much about them, but like many of you, I wish and hope for more.

The very fact that Witten is our best blocking TE and most reliable receiving TE answers your question. You don’t need an all pro, but we definitely need an athletic receiving TE. We’ve needed one for a few years.

Jarwin, like nearly everyone on the team, seems to have regressed. He can’t block. Schultz is a bust. They do need a startling quality TE. At the top of the list next season.

It seems like every seem pass goes about 25 yds+ minimum when Dak targets him, it would be a shame if he was utilized running the entire tree route.

A big, athletic TE is a consistent mismatch.

So, yes.

We need to find one. Witten is almost done, if not done. Jarwin is a JAG, and Schultz is a complimentray depth guy.

Zack Ertz, 2nd round pick (went 12 picks before Gavin Escobar)
Hunter Henry, 2nd round pick (went 1 pick after Jaylon Smith)
Travis Kelce, 3rd round pick ( we took Gavin Escobar 16 picks earlier)
Mark Andrews , 3rd round pick (went 5 picks after Michael Gallup)
George Kittle, 5th round pick (we took Ryan Switzer 13 pick earlier)
Jesse James, 5th round pick ( went 3 picks before we took Ryan Russell)

I'm not arguing we should have taken one before the players we drafted (except Kelce over Escobar and Kittle over Switzer). I'm just saying they are out there. We just need to prioritize them and identify them.
