Do We Need Another RB?

This week we had 3 guards inactive (Dockery, Loper and Arkin). Should we jettison Loper and add another RB? Morris looked good spelling Felix, but we know Felix is an injury waiting to happen, which would make Morris our only back. Thoughts?

Hold up, I'm calling up Tiki Barber at 1-800-Broke As ****

Injuries happen in the NFL, im sure the staff has a plan if this does happen so need 2 worry about it now

I think we do. Who knows how felix will hold up. I would hate felix to go down early against the giants and leaving morris as our only back

The only guy we can pick up who knows the system is Miller. I really don't know that he can contribute much. I think we are going with 2 RBs and 2 FBs on the roster and all are active on gameday.

I don't know what will happen with Morris but he is a consummate pro so I think he'll hang in there through the rest of the season. If he can give us 5-10 touches per game and do some blitz pickups we'll be okay.

There is no way we can bring in someone who can replace what Felix does if he goes down. We are just hooped. Romo will have to throw 50 times a game with the odd draw and screen thrown in there to keep the defense off balance.

Absolutely. Love Felix and the way he's playing, but every time he gets the ball I get nervous that he'll get injured.

Well, if Felix does go down in the game, that plan has to be Sammy Morris. Because there are no other options.

What else is there if we don't add another RB? Run Fiammetta?

The good news is Morris fits what we do. If you watched him in New England, you already know this. He's a good draw/delay, screen guy.

Miles......... garret has shown he's stupid enough to line miles up in the backfield and try to get him injured. I hate seeing that pitch play to miles. Why run that with a non runningback? If i remember correctly, that's how he got injured early in the year

What's their plan if it happens during a must win game? It seems somewhat illogical to carry three inactive guards and only two backs.

No......I'm saying they got a plan now and will do something before the eagles game.
If not well IDK, guess we will be passing the whole game

Why didn't they do something before the Bucs game? They chose to go into it with only two backs. A fragile Felix and a relic.

Yes, but it was a hamstring injury so I don't really think it was related to that play. It could have happened on any play. Later in the year he injured it on a go route.

The reason you can run that play with Miles is that he is built like a RB. DBs hate trying to tackle him for that reason - he is incredibly powerful in his legs.

However, I think if one of Morris or Felix goes down we probably call in Lonyae Miller. I bet we've put in a call to him asking him to make sure he's ready in case someone goes down.

Isn't Miller on somebody's practice squad?

According to Wikipedia the only RB on our PS is Chauncey Washington. I guess he is the guy who would get the call at the last minute.

I don't know much about him but apparently he was a 7th round draft pick out of USC for Jacksonville in 2008. He is 26 years old and is 5-11 and 222 pounds, ran 4.45 seconds in the 40 at the USC pro day.

He was previously on our PS back in 2009. He has also had brief stints with the Rams and Jets.

You can sign anybody off anybody's practice squad as long as they are signed to the roster.

Yeah, but can you call and tell them to be ready to go or is that tampering?
