Do We Now Get on a Real Roll?

This win was huge. Will it propel us through the rest of the season? I say yes. Why? We have 4 of our last 6 games at home. The key is this Thursday. If we don't have a letdown (it often happens to teams after a big win), and I don't think we will, we will roll through the end of the season. We should beat Tampa at home. Our D should completely shut down their offense. That puts us at 7-4 with a week and a half to rest up for the Giants. That will be a tough game, but they have a lot of injury issues. I think we'll win in N.Y. and get payback for a terrible Monday night loss. We get Philly at home and they're officially done. Without McNabb on Christmas night, we'll destroy them. We get Detroit. Nuff said. New Orleans in Dallas. Win. Tough game in Atlanta, but they're playing awful and on a big losing streak. By the time we play Atlanta, they will probably be done as far as playoffs. Bottom line is this. As long as we take care of business on Thursday, I think we go 11-5 at worse and maybe run the table. Optimistic? Maybe, but I think we're going on a roll and win the division.

What we're now capable of just makes me wonder what could've been record-wise if we hadn't given the Washington game away and if Romo had been the starter from day one. We would probably be sitting at 8-2 in a worst-case scenario. Oh well, it doesn't hurt to dream.

You can go to the bank, withdraw all the cash in your accounts, and take it to your local bookies.

Put it on the Cowboys.

Bruce Gradkowski is not capable of beating this defense even if it doesn't play like it did today.

The best he can hope for is to play like some of the other rookies we've played this year. That is, maybe he can keep himself from getting totally embarrassed.

He doesn't have it. He does not have a good enough grasp of that offense.

Maybe he will someday, though I doubt it. But he can't do it to us. He has those 50%, 110 yard passing days way too much. The kind of production we got from our QBs back when we sucked.

If the Bucs beat us, their defense will have to score about 2 TDs and totally shut us down.

I don't think it can happen.

Four of the final six in Irving. The teams remaining have a combined record of 27-32. Only New York and New Orleans have records north of the .500 mark. The path to the postseason is now laid out for us. The 3-1 record on that dreaded 4-game road trip did wonders for the Cowboys.

But the win today just might have lifted this team to a place we haven't seen around these parts in over a decade.

We still have the heavy lifting of actually winning the games. I think we all realize that.

It's natural for a team to let up after an huge, emotional win such as the one today. No team can play with that type of intensity week-in, week out, but we are about to hit the stretch run.

Tampa Bay is a must-get. I pray we dig deep and get it done Thursday afternoon. I love our chances, all things considered. If we do that, and this team heads into December on a roll?

Look out.

I believe that the Cowboys could get on a real roll, but we have to stay consistent.

I believe we have to come in every game like we are playing the best football team in the NFL, that's how we going to win. I wish we played the Bears on Thanksgiving. I would love to see the Cowboys go down the list and dust some of these teams off.

And to think the Cowboys could have been 4-0 had it not been for a mental hickup vs the Deadskins....

I surely hope the Boys' take the momentum from these past four games and ride it deep into the playoffs!!!!

I'm glad I was so so wrong about today's game. If we can beat the Bucs, and overcome an emotional let down, I think the Cowboys can go on a huge roll.

I think the Giants game in NY is the key. If we can win on Thanksgiving AND beat the Giants, we take control of the East and don't look back.

I just hope we don't look past Tampa Bay this Thursday. I don't think we will since the next game against N.Y. is 10 days away at that point. A loss to Tampa would almost negate the momentum we built yesterday. Tampa's offense is average at best, but they still have a pretty good defense. Hopefully we'll come out with the same kind of fire we did against Indy. Then, the guys get 10 days before another huge game in N.Y.

I've always believed the really good teams don't lose (certainly not the important games) on their own turf. So if we are as good as hoped & continue playing that way, we will win all our home games (Bucs, NO, Eagles & Detroit) & at a minimum win at least 1 of our road games (hopefully Giants cause it's payback & also a division win) making us 11-4. Hopefully we then the 2nd seed giving us a bye. Game against Atlanta will be tough cause teams always get up to beat the Cowboys, particularly a good Cowboy team that looks like it might be going somewhere. Would absolutely love it if we can win all our remaining games which means we playing our best football at the best time. Besides 12-4 sounds really good.
